Rotofab Intake

E85
ECM tune only
And ZL1 was stock
Anything under a 50 roll the SS jumps ahead and stays ahead until 115
By 125 the ZL1 is a car ahead
60 rolls the ZL1 has a huge advantage in power and gearing and takes off
The top end on is significantly superior on ZL1 as it is to be expected but anything under 100 is very close. Not sure how to upload videos of the runs
Pretty good considering the mod list. An fbo ss would obviously put up a better fight.

A guy on youtube, "slow6thgen ss" I think, has a pray near fbo car with a high ram and he has some videos vs zl1's and zl1 1le's. At 40 rolls the bolt on ss wins. At 60 it's a lot closer, he gets out ahead but the zl1 starts reeling him in slowly around 140 or so. His is an m6 ss 1le though.

This is m6 to m6, intake/exhaust (assuming stock tune) zl1 1le vs pray e85 fbo (high ram) ss 1le.

The ss 1le seemed to have an advantage hooking up and on 40 rolls, the zl1 1le showed better top end on the 60 roll.
That SS jumped early every time. Is it just me or does that "SS" sound funny? It doesn't sound like a V8 to me.

What mods do you have? A Zl1 is quite a bit faster from a 40 roll than a Hellcat and that ZL1 wouldn’t come around until after 125 so I think you’ll have a good chance if you’re bolt on on e85

Not bad at all I have around $1k in mods
And I’m pretty sure if I had a ported high ram and 95mm Tb with 2’ headers and a trans tune I’d jump out enough from a 40 that the zl1 just wouldn’t be able to come around before 140

Yeah I have most the bolt ons with e85 & I did drive his car the other day. I didn’t get it out in the highway but my car is definitely quicker than his.. just not sure how long my lead will last. He’s in a manual too so that should help me some.

Without a doubt you’ll beat a stock hellcat with those mods, and tuned by pray.
Not sure what are the best rolls for a M6 but I’m sure you’ll wanna start at 4000-4500rpm

my experience with blower cars is as you described. id jump out from 50 mph and manage to hold them off until 120 or so. i had full exhaust, ported lt1 intake and ethanol tune at the time, stock everything else, 18 1LE. i ran a 18 pp1 a10 gt with headers, p1x on 6 psi. with stock tires and a poor tune he'd clip me around 115 mph. i ran a 17 a8 vert maro, stock with an edelbrock blower, made 542 locally. same story but he didn't catch me until 130ish. for some reason i would pull on both of those cars the entire span of 3rd gear.

im hoping the addition of a rotifab, msd/95 and some drag wheels will make the car a little quicker to 140. right now it hauls ass to 4th gear and then lays down.

Nice. Hopefully we’ll play around soon & I’ll let you guys know how it goes. I did beat another friends 99 Viper ACR when I was stock about a month ago. We went from 50-115 & he was right at my door & about to go by me. Tough to beat that thing at high speeds. I wanna run him again now that I’m not stock but he wants a tune 1st... He’s got headers with no tune & it’s running a little rich.

Exactly what happened, my car has really good low end and midrange power but seems to fall on its face top end, I ordered a LT2 manifold from GPI, i plan on getting it ported and debating between pairing it with a ported stock LT1 or ported LT5 Tb. According to GPI should gain me 20whp from 6000-6500 over stock and not lose any low/mid range, and from what I’ve seen 2’ longtube headers with a 3’ x pipe should gain around 15whp over my Cat delete pipes and should help with top end. I still need to send out my tcm to get unlocked too, that should really wake the car up.

the LT2 intake hype is real. i put one on my car friday morning. i ran the mustang again last night. noticeably stronger top end, but you will not feel it. i'd say it picked up an honest 1.5-2 mph. ill be in trouble when he gets a real tune, though.

That’s good to hear, is your LT2 ported or stock ?
I checked my logs today and Current KPA starts off at 100 but goes down to 97.5 at full throttle I wonder if I get it ported and port the snout and match a ported Stock Tb Or even a ported LT5 if it’ll increase the kpa and work better

stock LT2 intake manifold & stock LT1 tb. rotofab dry. my kpa dropped from 96 w lt1 im to 94 with lt2 im. i think the tb is the restriction. maf showed 3.5-4 lb/min increase.
