About how long of a hose will be needed?

it was difficult to read, a bunch of mumbo jumbo and poorly displayed numbers. i don't recall seeing anything mentioned about the piston or connecting rod. nor the camshaft lsa. +4* i / +18* e with the exhaust lift going to .550, one can only assume this is at 50 thou, as it is not listed. nothing about valve springs or rocker arms, we must presume the same as LT1 since the main blurb about the heads simply says everything was carried over from the LT1. no mention of camshaft timing, just says the phasing was carried over from the LT1. no throttle body size or pictures of the air intake setup. no maf diameter.

the article is informative, but little of the information is useful for direct comparison of the engines regarding power. doesn't list primary diameter or length, nor does it mention collector diameter, or the exhaust diameter at all from what i recall.

I just don't think the work involved to swap the cam is worth putting a stock spec cam in. Might as well get an aftermarket cam. If you are worried about having to do valve springs look at the hotcam.

i do agree on the cam swap, but there is a lot more to be gained then what most consider. you can ditch the junk lifter, cam phasing, give yourself a chance to upgrade the rocker to something more rpm friendly and get a bigger fuel lobe.

what remains to be noted is how much more duration is needed to compensate for the lack of cam phasing. my car lost about 15 whp on the dyno playing with the cam timing either direction from factory.

Purchased this and planning on porting it. Should have done si before buying it, but just want to verify, this a genuine LT2 manifold right? ACDelco?

Thank you

That’s the correct number. You may save a few dollars by going to the corvette forums, there is a few selling the gray cover. I bought mines between $100-120 from there. I recently hydrodipped mines as well to match the carbon fiber theme of the car. Im also impressed with how my FBO setup came out, I can’t wait for track days.

Those who are interested in what size bolts are needed to fit the C8 LT2 Intake Cover on top of the manifold above. The bolt size is M6 X 1.00 40mm. You can also use the stock bolts that came with the original intake but I chose not to use it.

Watch a couple YouTube vids on doing the install. They'll explain.

Has anyone established themselves as the go to porters for the LT2? Any members here porting them and a 95MM as a combo? Pray is saying he's not onboard with it as his max effort LT2 with stock TB vs a stock MSD is down 21 peak hp.

Can you fit the original cover on if you shave it like that? I like the idea of it still looking stock after modifying.
