Gt350 and gen3 not the same. Keep drinking your koolaid pal. Search the mustang6g forums for actual blown motors. I do not need to do your research. People complaining about this noise or that is different from failed motors. We done here...? I know a few personal friends with blown LT1 motors. Next.

Ok I see reading comprehension is optional for you. Give it a break, Frod has issues with both of these motors and has for years and the fanboys just keep making excuses for poor reliability and factory warranty support. BRB... I just made a YT video on me checking the oil in my DOHC V8 Frod motor, ahh my 15 mins of fame! I'm back. Oops that was more than a sentence so you're already lost and moved on. My bad. I never said LT1 didn't have issues. What I didn't say was these LT1 issues were "overblow" by internet trolls. Now we're done.

I do agree with you that the engine issues seem to be blown a bit out of proportion. I think the ones that didn't have actual problems but had the bbq tick were confused with the ones that had actual issues. (which the bbq tick wasnt a new characteristic of the coyote but again, just seems to be more pronounced on the gen 3 for _______ reasons, potentially the ones you mentioned).

But again, that doesn't mean that there weren't issues. Mine for instance had the 2k piston slap, the bbq tick, something that sounded like engine decel chain rattle and oil consumption. (all of these I have documented by audio/video). All of which I was just living with till I started getting cylinder misfire code on 5. Did a bore scope (picture attached) and found a nice concoction of fuel and oil puddled up on the piston along with a very oil coated spark plug. The lack of image clarity makes it difficult to tell but it looks like there could be some cylinder scoring also. This was with 7k miles on it.

I had already had the ring and pinion replaced due to excessive whine in the rear end and the power steering rack was binding. With all these issues and a couple of more, I just bit the bullet and took a loss and traded. The future looked like many months of time spent at the dealership for warranty and who knows if it had gotten repaired correctly with the quality of tech's we have around here. I know I am not the only one with some of these issues, so it is a thing. But at the same time, I wouldn't discourage someone from buying one if they liked it because I do agree that the issues aren't quite as bad as some(many) make it out to be. But caution would be advised.

And the voodoo issues are fairly well documented also. They like to kick rods and use oil. But from what I hear, (and clearly I dont hear it all) Ford is doing a pretty good job taking care of the issues.

I drove a mustang. It felt weak and underpowered. Everyone I know who owns a mustang has had it in the shop more than 1x for random quality bull$#!t problems. I didn't like all the chrome bits in the interior... way too reflective when driving with the top down. In a vert you want less shiny blingy plastichrome crap, not more.

There's only one 650 Horsepower Convertible

But there are many more Mustangs than Camaros and big problems are always getting the most attention. Only Ford knows the answer to this question for sure. I can say my good friend bolted on a Paxton, convertor, and tires on a base 2017 auto GT was running 10.2s @130+ and it was very reliable until he traded it in after hundreds of runs. He did break an axle and replced it with a 6 cylinder one, once. And he had the same experience with a 2013, and a 2015. But on those no broken anything and all 3 were traded in with the Paxtons on the car. LOL

2nd Gen Coyotes are actually the most reliable out of the 3 gens especially under boost (didn't say they make the most power that's the 3rd Gen by a good amount but not the most reliable gen).
