I just don't understand the obsession with turning off the dash light. It's literally a tiny light, it doesn't flash, it doesn't bong, it would take a massive effort to eliminate the tiny, solid red light, that you can hardly notice on the super busy dash of the 6th gen....

I guess it's personal preference. I kept my stock belts along with the harness, so they're hooked up also, pretensioners etc.

I would rather not have the light, and I definitely did notice it, maybe it's my OCD.

Naw me too, i had to put a resistor in-line with my previous car to disable the light.

Is there any solution for the air bag light yet?

Yea, if you buy the wiring harness for the seats you can put a resistor in the airbag plug. You can also retain your stock belts and the pretensioner, and the memory controls if you have them. The memory module is under the driver's seat so without that the mirrors won't work. I have the part numbers somewhere, I'll look them up and repost them.

This is great news, thanks for the quick response! Just found your other post: https://www.automotivecircuitsolutio...iagnostic-tool

84280995 for the passenger side and 84280991 for the driver's side

Going to install a pair of these next week sometime. Not too impressed with the "planted technology" base. It hooks fine but then I can only get 1 bolt in. I'll have to ream out the other hole a tiny bit. Not a big deal for me, but for guys without tools I could see where it would be frustrating. I had the stock seat out but didn't weigh it {factory Z/28 Recaro} but I figure ill save at least 70lbs doing both seats. I ordered some metal to fab up a bracket that bolts to the seat and bolts to the "planted" seat base. I'll probably add some bracing as needed. Goibg to run the factory belts for now.

I don't know for certain about the 1ss, but my 2ss I definitely needed to swap that module over. As far as I know it's just for the memory functions but I'm sure someone else might have a more definitive answer.

I'm a huge fan of the Brey Kraus seat base I installed. Snug fit, bolted up no problem and the stock belts attached right to it. Only modification I had to do was redrill one hole in the sparco side mount bracket.

Bringing this thread up from the dead as it has some good information. I'm curious if Nicky ever got a plug and play harness to work. I like Baddawg53 idea of get a wiring harness but the issue I have is I sold my oem seats and I have no module. Also why would you need to buy a wiring harness if you can just figure out what pin goes to the seat air bag and also the factory plug. What did you do for the passenger presence sensor?

I bought the harness because it was easy. And it was very easy. It also retains the factory seat belt option. I took the occupancy sensor out of the seat and plugged it into the passenger side harness, as well as the seat position sensor. The module is important, if you have memory functions like my 2SS you won't be able to control the mirrors.
