The Robert Frost mention is priceless. Not all would get it.

Does anyone see any evendence of deto on the piston?
This was a pure meth injection. no water so I dont see how it could be hydraulic? maybe Im just looking for ansers and I appericate all input. Plugs were the 6510 and looked perfect to me like they always look. |

Any fluid has hydraulic properties. But Ted is talking about the engine oil...

you were very lean. You want to get closer to the 12.0 mark but in reality you should be tuning in lambda not by afr.
For the meth however, I dont see a problem with it. We use methanol on TONS of builds and dont have any issues with them if the system is installed and tuned correctly. Methanol works when done right. Even the single turbo car we just did was a methanol injected car, stock lt1 injectors, lt1 hpfp, 32% fuel lobe. car made 740 on 10lbs. doesnt skip a beat. Have one of my oldest builds still running strong on methanol also to date with a single 107mm build on a C6Z. Methanol works, and works very well. Now meth should not truly be used as a dependent for fueling unless you plan on upgrading your fueling shortly after or you make sure that the right failsafes are set up in the vehicle in the event the methanol isn't spraying correctly. Without a failsafe, a methanol pump could fail and the car would be relying on something that isnt there anymore. If you dont have the set up to stop the car from grenading, it will. as for your oil question we run LiquiMoly 20w-50 with Ceratec Modifiers in our Turbo Builds. |

RPM Raceing does a ton of methanol injected cars as well. Seems hard that a intake manifold full of methanol and air could to decied some cylinders are not going to get meth. Im sure its possiuble I think runners 2 and 7 are shorter on the lt1 manifold. So ?
I will go to the lt2 intake as all runners are supposed to be the same lenth and has better distrubtion they say. I though I read on the form from some that you could be too rich and cause problems and the some say too lean. confuesing. I know stock the car runs 12.5 course thats na I certinaly appericat all the input and pleas keep posting what you think. |

Weird suggestion but I have seen it before. Methanol has to be sprayed through a nozzle at a minimum of 50psig. If not it cannot atomize properly pre-intake manifold and wont distribute correctly. Ensure the pump is operating correctly and that there is no clogs or kinks in the line.

Need some help. I pulled the pickup out of the oil pan to make sure everything was good. Their is somekind of sealant that goes on the tube that inserts into the oil pan opposite end of the pick up screen. Anyone know what that is and where I could get some?
