New Road Course camera setup - helmet visor cam

Guys I was recently trying to decide weather to pick up a GoPro for track days or similarly priced CamBox v4 Pro. I was pretty skeptical about this Cambox visor cam thing but I think its amazing, check it out super easy to use too

Track is PBIR

I'm most impressed by the zero wind buffeting noise!

My problem with those is there is too much motion and i can't watch it for very long. I tried the helmet mount, seat mount and windshield mount. Finally decided on the seat mount. Has a good view of the track, right amount of motion, what the driver is doing and the timing app.

Ditto, makes me nauseous. Seat mount ftw.

How did you set the phone as a mic? What app did you use to record?

All I will say is be careful, many run the camera off the seat / on the very side of the helmet for a reason

If you ever wreck and the airbags deploy; it has a chance of catching and twisting your neck/helmet

If you are run-in a seat & harness with airbags disabled, no issue

I use a headrest mount from tackform. It’s all aluminum and really sturdy and adjustable and fits my GoPro and phone.

I have one of those and it moves all over the place. The Recaro headrest posts are wobbly AF. Do you have any tips or do you just live with it?
