I am of the opinion that Ceramic coating is way over hyped.

Here are my reasons:

I say the long term cost is way too expensive. To pay approx. $1000 for paint correction and application of the product for three to four years just to have high gloss applied to the paint over a ten year term is way too expensive. $3000 plus over ten years...really?

Spray coatings and waxing has been a proven method over these last few decades to add protection and gloss to paint Jobs. A bottle of wax should last you over a summer of protection, over ten years is only around $200.

And dont even try to tell me Ceramic gives you any scratch resistance? The high gloss from Ceramic coating is high...I will agree. Its just way to expensive to for three or four years, some people argue its only 2 years...thats even worse.

What are your thoughts?

ive had my camaro almost 5 years got ceramic coating and paint correction for $1250 the year i got it pay n spray my car almost every weekend car still looks amazing its definately worth it in my eyes and i hate detailing cars...

I wouldn’t pay a cent for any of that stuff. I use a DIY brushless spray wash every couple weeks ($5/5 minutes) and a spray on/off wax once a year. My car looks awesome. Boggles my mind how people pay thousands for paint correction, ceramic coating. I guess if you love dumping $$$ into a car.

where are you being quoted that much for ceramic coating maintenance lmao.

i was 1000.00 for paint correction, ceramic Pro gold (lifetime warranty) and yearly checkups are free. best thing ive done for my car.
