Sorry for the repost - posted this reply in the wrong thread, but it belongs here.

Randy Pobst offers his opinion on which Camaro 1LE he would personally choose after driving both the SS 1LE and ZL1 1LE. And his choice? The 2.0 turbo 1LE! Funny short interview, but as expected, the 2.0 1LE has the best balance of the three.

Randy's interview starts at 1:54.

My son almost bought one. Rode with him on a test drive. That car is no joke.

Yes I was very surprised that Randy Pobst went for a 4 cylinders turbo, instead of the V8 Camaro SS

His point about wanting to have fun but not end up in jail or a hospital with these powerful V8s is very valid. IIRC this car is a daily driver for him.

But he's a great driver, better than most of us.

No question about it, I'm not worthy to even tie his shoelaces when it comes to driving skills. However, he's not the only one on the road, with 99.9% of drivers way worse and more unpredictable than him. The other thing is how well V8 Camaros hide their speed, you get one or maybe two shifts before entering instant impound territory.

My '20 ZL1 1LE is the best handling car I've ever owned, and that includes 2 GTRs.
