Not at all and I think that's the very same part of the clip that everyone was claiming to 'hear' it at 34 sec on the other vid.

Listen to ZL1 video clip and then listen to Z/28 new clip
Clearly the Z/28 doesn't have a LT4 motor, definitely sound NA to me.

Who was taking the video? Whoever it was I'm sure the GM folk are not too happy with them capturing one of their muscle machines going haywire.

That crash is why the testing is done!! Looks like a failure for sure.

Ok, I'm only on page 17 so far but wanted to say this. After watching the Z/28 videos several times...I'm beginning to think it has a larger displacement engine folks...
To me, it doesn't sound like the LT4, but it does have a deeper tone to it...we might be looking at either a 396 or 427 here...the Camaro team has been kicking some major @$$ lately. I don't think they are holding back this generation. |

I'm pretty sure they don't run cats on the cars when they test at the Ring which obviously makes the exhaust louder (and could cover up any potential SC whine), so maybe compare the ZL1 runs at the Ring for a better comparison.

I still think its SC whine at 34 in the first videos. Looking back at the ZL1 prototype videos, its really hard to hear the whine on those as well.

Yeah they definitely run with cats. No reason to run without them. The testing wouldn't be very valuable if they didn't.

The question is, what kind of bird was it at the :34 mark? Prob a whiney bird.

I agree with you too. I think we are hearing something else that sounds like supercharger whine. I'm still saying a hopped up LT1 or GM is gonna suprise use with a new engine. LT7?
