I just listened to the .34 section multiple times through some high dollar phones and do not think there is any S/C whine there. And, if there is why isn't it everywhere in the vid?

The same reason it's not in every part of the video for the ZL1.

Guys the LT4 doesn't whine a lot, or loudly, at distance. The first videos of the ZL1 running the ring didn't have much, if any, real obvious blower whine..like say a whipple or eaton TVS unit.

That being said, I do hear a subtle whine at 34-35 seconds in as well.

I don't remember hearing much blower whine from the ZL1 prototype videos though either.

We got about 30 seconds of actual driving on the ring. If you've seen the ZL1 ring videos, you cannot hear the SC all the time.

Not necessarily, I don't hear mine unless I get into it pretty good and I have a CAI.

You know.. just thinking here but IF GM were to take the LT4 and detune it to say, 550 hp, that would be a quick and easy way to get where they need to go and still be compliant emissions-wise.

Plus, sharing that motor in two Camaro platforms spreads out costs even more.

im with you man, I don't hear it. I hear tire noise and what im assuming is other cars going around the track. But I don't hear any whine.

Well 2/3 of the video was the cars idling around. S/C whine is only heard once because they aren't near WOT much and the LT4 S/C doesn't exactly scream to begin with.

More importantly I'm seeing 2 different cars here. 1 with and 1 without hash marks. With the ZL1 test mule's the hash marks meant automatic. It sounded like both were doing there best to not be heard running through the gears off the track. I think one of these likely has the 8 or 10 speed auto.

This is seeming more like what I would call a ZL1.R but if GM plans on this being the top dog camaro they may just call it a Z/28. First the Z06 gets boost and an automatic now the Z/28 does as well. Maybe they figure the auto and monster HP will help boost sales much like the success the Z06 is having right now.

Nice observation on the hash marks. The car with the whine @ 34 seconds doesn't have the orange hashes.
