To truly compare lap times it needs to be same day. Weather affects lap times by several seconds (I've seen 2-4 second swings).

If the ZL1 1LE ran that time in the heat, it's definitely quicker in the fall time.

as it seems the nannies are always working against me. My best lap was the my first and only lap in my students GTR @ 1:37. As far as a beginner in a camaro, you would likely be in the 1:5x range and might be able to get it down below 1:50 by the end of the day. The ZL 1LE time is great @ 1:34, but every ZL1 i have driven out there is a one or two lap hero, due to heat issues.

What if anything, can we do to push GM for a Firmware correction?

I'd love to see the warranty saving algorithms to be offline in Track Mode.
