Actually thought about that too with the way they had the back window area padded in the spy shots a while back. People were speculating if it was going to be a T top at one point. Then the slope on the silouhette at the autoshow... all that combined made me wonder if they would come out with a hatchback variant... maybe i'm just dreaming.

It was a sad walk at the Chicago auto show this weekend BTW. I was really hoping for them to have revealed it by the time it came to Chicago. It's a good thing they sold beers!

You are probably right. I was just throwing that out there.

It would be a grand rouse and a big surprise. But until we see a car anything is possible.

Is it not possible that in creating the quarter they have to "step" the metal to its final shape? This die being an earlier one before the final shape is made. That would account for the inconsistencies to the camo cars we've seen. The quarter window to belt line looks significantly different from the spy shots we've seen to me. Maybe it's the angle but it doesn't match in my eyes.

This is a great visual - hope it turns out to be this much smaller (and of course lighter). The rear window line always looked a bit off with a spoiler for me from certain angles, this is an improvement.

This + meaner front end + medium blue = success!

..looks like the 6th, cool piece of casting tool too. And no, it's not even close to the '15 mustang, foolish Ford boys.

I don't really understand the comparisons to the Mustang. Yes....it has hips in the rear end. So does the Mustang.

Guess who had the hips first???? The Camaro! So instead...maybe you should be thinking that the Mustang grabbed this popular styling trait from the 5th gen Camaro. The 6th gen is just an evolution of the 5th...so if the Mustang happened to take on the same trait...why is it now that the 6th gen is copying Mustang????

Sure...the much older Mustangs had hips similar to the new one, but then lost them. Camaro got them on the 5th gen and everyone loved em. So now the Mustang has them again.

Not talking about the hips, referring to the "greenhouse" or bubble or cabin what ever you refer to it as...looks identical to the ridiculous mustang bubble...it's just taste or style preference, but I like for the slope back to start at the rear window, and not so it looks like after the front windshield the cabin comes to a "point" then slopes back from there..just me

I really don't know why GM doesn't show the '16 Camaro already. And quite frankly from what I've seen, it might actually help sell the Gen 5 Camaro!

I'm sure it will be nice and be a driving beast... but I'm not digging this smaller Crossfire size Camaro. It's getting close to the Pontiac Solstice size of girly cars... what's wrong with the Gen1 size where you had usable back seats?

Yes, I know what you mean......from the press machine picture....the roof line looks more like the Nissan 370Z or 2015 Mustang. I don't think the rendering in this thread matches the roofline correctly.

The crossfire was 159.8 inches long, solstice was 157 inches long. My guess is the 6th gen will be around 180-185 inches in length, which is similar to the 1st gen
