So this wasn’t a terrible install. Going in from the top makes good sense. IDK what I liked more, the radiator cover, the 3 Christmas tree fasteners or hood latch alignment. The actual install of Velossa was quick.

Tip#1
Put the small side in first, where the hood release was, down and to the left. Wiggle it beyond the headlight housing and start tucking behind the rubber.

Tip#2
Use a long 3/8”’extension, swivel and shallow socket to remove the 13mm hood latch boots. I went in through the grill.

Tip#3
When re-installing the hood latch bolts, the Velossa was in the way for the driver side bolt. The 3/8” extension fits without the socket. I sat the hood latch on top of the radiator cover. Once the extension was within reach I attached the 13mm socket and swivel to the extension. Grabbed the bolt, put it in the socket and guided it through the hood latch and put the bolt back in. (This is a balancing act. I didn’t drop any bolts, but be careful if you do it this way, there’s a cooler below).

Took it out for a drive!
Thanks for the hood latch re-install tips!
Approximately, how long did it take you to install from the top?

I just ordered mine yesterday, so hopefully by next week Sat. it will be here.

There were a few people that wanted some data. In an effort to do some incremental data logs, RF and port TB were not on after the Velossa was installed.

I’m going to get one more log and that will be with ported IM/TB & stock CAI. I might even toss the RF back on for grins.

No Velossa Stock CAI, TB & IM
RPM - 6246
MPH - 84
Cyl airmass - 0.81g
MAP - 96 kPa
MAF (SAE) - 2629 lb/hr (331 g/s)
MAF sensor- 8403 hz

Velossa Stock CAI, TB & IM
RPM - 6243
MPH - 86
Cyl airmass - 0.83g
MAP - 96 kPa
MAF (SAE) - 2695 lb/hr (339 g/s)
MAF sensor- 8438 hz

Edit:

Velossa, Stock CAI, Katech TB & PP IM
RPM - 6252
MPH - 87
Cyl airmass - .84g
MAP - 97 kPa
MAF (SAE) - 2817 lb/hr (355 g/s)
MAF sensor - 8421 hz
