AMERICAN RACING FULL SYSTEM

We just picked up our 2015 z/28 from American racing headers after being fitted with their rear muffler section. It's 3" all the way back, leading into 4" double wall polished stainless tips.

This car also has the American racing long tube headers, as well as their catless x-pipe. We powder coated the tips gloss black for that "stealth" look.

System fits like a glove & sounds awesome !

Once the weather breaks here in sunny CT we will upload some driving videos !

Enjoy..

Is this a Z/28 specific exhaust or did they use a ZL1 rear section?

Advant, the rear section fits both cars. The headers are specific to the Z28. These mufflers are 3". Currently they don't work on the Convertible ZL1 because of the rear brace but they're perfect on the hardtop.

Tom thank you for posting the pictures and video. Enjoy!

Be careful in NJ, NY, CT as of 2013 when your car go's for its emission test the inspectors have to physically check the cats are there.

From there web site!
"Welcome to the Connecticut Emissions Program
Your vehicle will be visually inspected for the presence of the catalytic converter, which was originally installed by the vehicle’s manufacturer. The catalytic converter is a post-combustion control device that converts toxic exhaust emissions from your vehicle’s engine into non-toxic substance. It must be fully intact for your vehicle to be considered for an emissions test.
Removal of or tampering with a catalytic converter is a federal offense. If your vehicle is missing a catalytic converter, it will fail the emissions test."

This was added to most of the states with state emission inspection as of 2013. My dealer has a 2010 SS that the State Police took off the road several months ago, the car owner is still dealing with the charges.

P1M, how would you say the sound is, comparing the American Racing setup to the factory Z/28 exhaust with the flaps open? I'm looking at catbacks (for my lowly SS) and the ARH catback and OEM Z/28 catback are both high on my list. I'd appreciate a little insight from some one who's driven both. Thanks!
