Please, for the love of God, help me out here as I can't decide which one to go for. Many people are recommending to go for the ARH while some says go for the Texas. Both will produce the same power although the Texas speed is cheaper. So which one is the best to go for my 2013 LS3?

Also, if you're gonna be asking me what mods will I install, it's the headers, x-pipe and Borla cat-back. Oh one more thing, shall I replace my pulley as well to a smaller size or leave the stock pulley as it is?

That is really a choice of preference and budget. ARH are a true work of art and made in America, but they wont make you any more power.

For that reason, I chose to go with a budget set of headers(Stainless Power) like the Texas Speed Headers and have no regrets.

A new UD pulley will give you some power, and if you are trying to squeeze every possible HP then go for it. I left that off my build as budget wise I had to stop somewhere.

My budget is fine so far so it doesn't matter man. I know the ARH will cost more but are you saying shall I go for it over the Texas?

Pulley will give me more power? I thought it will just improve the RPM while at rolling or something.

To confuse you more, you can buy Nickey branded headers, made by ARH for 2/3rds of the price. I got mine from Nickey off Ebay for $1595 ( that were shipped from ARH) which included cats and 3" to the axle. To maximize the true power your going to need a tune after install.

I went with budget headers, so that should tell you how I feel about that choice.

In the end this is your car and you wont be replacing the headers, so make sure you buy what makes you happy.

So long as the headers are stainless steel and come from a reputable company, you should be good to go - I think that should be the underlying factors to base your decision off of.

With that said, I personally could not justify spending the kind of money that ARH, Kooks, Stainless Works, etc. were asking. Now if there was a power difference, then I'd completely disregard that statement but, there isn't. Just a price difference, mostly.

Kooks! The quality and warranty of ARH for a much more affordable price.

The Stainless Power headers are nice too, but they only have a 2 year warranty and usually have a few minor imperfections; mostly cosmetic.

I think I will be going for the ARH long tube 7/8 size since that is what most people buy. My car is kinda new so I don't really wanna put on something cheap or less-quality.

One more thing, can I install a better pulley or should I wait until I get a cam first? Does it matter?

^^^ What Nick said. When I opened my ARH headers, by just looking at them, you know the headers are quality built.

If you want the BEST... it's hands down ARH. Had them on 3 5th Gen Camaros now.

BEST is an old argument and not even debated anymore.

Some say Kooks is equal, but none say better including me. Much prefer ARH slip over connections than the ball/socket of Kooks.

But then this thread is about Texas Speed so yes ARH is better.
