Final Dyno
SAE Numbers: +282 RWHP/+204 RWTQ (I'd be curious to see the change in torque numbers on a hub dyno)
More pictures and a video coming soon. Picking her up Monday due to rain all weekend here. We ended up using high flow cats on the ARH Long System.

I hope you don't plan on running it real hard at that power levels with cats. They will not last long before melt down. Ask me how I know

Yup. If road course racing and tracking becomes something I start doing, they will come off the car very quickly.

If they are GESI cats they will be fine, they may be restrictive at a certain point though. Not all high flow cats are built the same.

Not true, any cat will have issues on highly modified cars if road coursed. I had this issue and NO cat will survive at his power level there is simply too much heat generated . I really dislike the smell of a catless car but its a futile effort to get one to live regardless of brand .

Thanks EvilZL, we'll have to get out and do some cruising in MI/OH this summer!
Thanks! You know.... the thought did cross my mind to go exotic but I just absolutely LOVE these ZL1's. Most of the general public doesn't understand just how badass the ZL1's are. With my newfound power I should be able to surprise some unsuspecting people who think "oh it's just a loud camaro".

Nice Build !!!!!
I all ways like to break down the builds for people that are on a budget I'll do it here and if you read my threads I all ways do it. Not taking anything away from the thread or katech just a lot people throw money around and do not know what prices are or what they bought. Also people try to copy builds and do it themselves(LIKE ME). *I'm sure Katech sits down with the customers and explains it all.* As mentioned this post is for thread readers that do not know about building this type of package and what it can cost. $6,200.00 2650 maggi $ 3,00.00 2650 Snout $ 700.00 103 TB $ 787.00 Valve covers $ 100.00 Valve cover fittings Misc. $ 210.00 Spark plug wires $ 72.00 Wire Sleeve protectors $ 480.00 ATI Damper $ 180.00 ATI Blower Ring $ 580.00 Camshaft $2500.00 CHE trunion upgrade(didn't see on list) Valves, Springs, retainers, seals, & guides porting blend blah blah $ 100.00 Pushrods $ 472.00 Johnson Lifters (449.00 TSP) $ 110.00 GM Head Gaskets $ 410.00 ARP Head bolts $ 50.00 GM Cam Bolt $ 165.00 C5R Chain $ 35.00 Cam Lock out $ 75.00 Gated Fleet Runner belt $ 169.00 Magnuson LSA/LT4 2650 TVS Pulley Ø 80mm L3 8 Rib $ 98.00 Brisk Plugs $ 539.00 Rotofab Big Gulp $ 30.00 Wide Band weld in Bung $ 30.00 160 Thermostat $ 395.00 MM Mouse Wild can $2300.00 ARH headers $ 4.00 GM water pump gaskets $ 12.00 Silicon grey $ 105.00 Mobile 1 ESP w filter About $17,200 in parts listed on the web site.. tune and labor no idea? $22,000 listed as a Stage 5 PKG with 2650 *didn't see anything about a trunion upgrade I can only think its included in the performance valve train. Also no oil pump upgrade or oem pump listed either. So I maybe under estimating prices. those would be important things to consider if doing a build like this. Also the head porting and service isn't very clear so I took the best ported heads from places like Frankenstien, LME, and Land Speed and went off there listed prices with Inconel exh valves, Spring kits, and all labor. So I'm guessing its right at 5k to tune and pull motor to do the head and cam package.

100% Correct. To each their own my friend. You do you, I'll do me.
I have a sweet 10 speed bike that I use when it rains.
