I know it man, I rarely ever do either. I have a full pressure washer & foam cannon setup and routine that I use every time I wash the car. This was after my car was sitting for over a month and right when I finished my cam swap. So on a datalog run one day I was passing the car wash and figured what the hell, get it a bit cleaner before I wash it at home. It was pure laziness and stupidity on my part.

I installed a Volant air cleaner. I did not get a check engine light when I restartged the car. It seems to sound the same as before the filter so I am going to believe that I will get a few more horsepower anyway. I do not know if I got the filter box to set far enough down into the engine bay because when I close the hood it seem that the top of the hood is not flush with the fender by about 1/16 inch.

Fixed the known driver’s side heated seat issue. It didn’t show itself to me easy. Had to probe around a bit to see where it was not connected. A cool bottle of O’doul’s Amber and about an hour and now it’s time for a ride.

Tinkering around. Reset the tire pressure sensors and finally got that Diablo Sport OBD plug in to get rid of that annoying AFM noise. Much better now.

Yeah they are man, it takes everything out of you. I got a nice DA polisher and pad set recently but its been so damned hot and also raining so dang much that I haven't bothered. Autumn and winter are the only time of the year down here I can get any enjoyment out of my paint and washes. Too hot and wet in the summer and in the spring everything is covered in yellow oak tree pollen. Worst part is I have 2 giant Florida Live Oaks that hang over my driveway.

I have been a bit under the weather for several weeks and have not taken the Camaro out since mid July. Well today it was a beautiful cool day so off came the cover and away we went. God I enjoy that car as much as I did on day ONE! Just turned over 30K now and I still get all fidgety when I set in her and drive. It's really mine! Who says a car can't make an old man smile!

The trick with dealing with overkill; give it plenty of time. He doesn’t respond well to emails and does everything on his own time. It’s well worth it if you just plan a month in advance.
Good luck
