Need feedback on Meguiar's G3500 DA Power System Tool
Hi all,
I am planning to buy one of these and use it with a cordless drill to polish and seal my car. I do not have access to a power point in my garage and hence need some cordless solution. Here is the Amazon link. http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G3500...dless+polisher Any feedback is appreciated!!

No way, used one once and never again, save your money and buy a good random orbital.
Griots makes a Cordless orbital that is excellent, it's all I use these days for a new car.... http://www.autogeek.net/griots-garag...-polisher.html And yes expensive, but all good tools are..... As far as having no power, you only polish once a year, find a friend's driveway....and buy a griots or porter cable....

Yeah don't do it! I just bought a Shurhold D/A polisher, very similar to the Griots for $89 on Groupon! It normally sells for $160 or so. The Meguiars one that attaches to a drill is just looking for trouble, tough to use and control.

Get an extension cord and run it from a point inside your home where you have a plug, I've used 16 gauge 50 ft and 100ft with a Griots, Flex, Rupes 21, and Rupes Mini with no issues.
I'd get the Griots if your only doing your own vehicles, it has a better warranty then the PC, also more correction power. You can also get a 3.5" backing plate and use 4" pads for tighter areas. Lake Country Hydrotech 4" pads work great on the Griots with 3.5" backing plate. http://www.autopia-carcare.com/griot...l#.VzI_A7vmqP9

Of the budget good DA Polishers I've heard the Griot's and the Meguiars MT300 were the best. After researching I got the MT300 and like it a lot.
