LAST 2014 CTF Z/28 990069
Found this gem on Auto Trader. It is the last CTF car, White, without A/C. Someone please grab this future Barrett Jackson mega star! LoL.
So, I am documenting every Z/28 2014s and 2015s, started an excel sheet to capture if the car came with A/C or not, and if they have been modified, if they were Pace Cars, Callaway Cars, etc. Hopefully in the attempt for future owners. Since I plan to keep my '14 AGM, 970181, no A/C car forever, maybe by capturing this info early, I can one day be a solid source for information. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...modelCode1=CAM |

How can you tell that it's a CTF? Mileage (201) seems a bit low for one.

While I and (I'm sure) others appreciate your efforts regarding establishing a sort of registry, I'd have to disagree about the future value of any CTF car. It's not like they were prototypes. Rather, they are in sort of a gray area in that they are not even considered "production vehicles" according to their VIN. As we are aware, there are officially 440 '14's (E9700001-E9700440), and 1288 '15's (F9700001-F9701288). And then there are the CTF cars. Not hating on them, just looking at it from collectible perspective. There's a reason why E9700001 was auctioned off to Rick Hendrick for silly money (besides charity right-off), and not 9699001. Same reason they put #3 (IIRC) in the GM museum.

The AGM CTF #66 I just bought from an out of state dealer that bought at the GM auction; 68 miles on it until the dealer general manager drove it for 550 miles.

Regardless of which one will be worth more, I like having a unique VIN that these CTF's have. If I was looking for it to be worth more than I paid for it, I would have bought one with no milage, wrapped it up and sealed it in a container in a Atomic bomb proof bunker several hundred feet below surface. But I bought this car to enjoy and not hide it away to down the road sell it to some random dude to enjoy.

How do you know it's the last one.
Also, if you are tracking these maybe you should take over the OP for this thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=365047 |

Just a little speculation on my part. we know there were 69 CTFs built in 2014, at least no one has said otherwise. We know the Z/28s were built in sequence. And the VIN is a dead give away IMO.
If I had a system that I could punch VINs into that I could then know of it was a Non-AC or AC car, I would be done with my list already. As of right now, my list is coming along and just got a huge shot in the arm from a member here. Wouldn't mind being the OP for the owners list thread. I do plan to go through all of the threads in this forum as I know there are owners who have not posted in the owners thread. I am also trying to capture if cars have been modified; headers, cam, intake, cage, etc. Wrecked cars as well. Hopefully in the future I will start a website or something. |

Zslash28, as I said before, establishing a registry would be fantastic. The ZL1 and GT500 guys have one. It would be helpful to present and future owners, especially in determining wrecked/totaled/salvage title cars. Like with the original '67-69 Z/28's, if these cars end up retaining their value, there will undoubtedly be clones (in fact there already are, to an extent).
And FWIW, I agree with your assessment that the car in question is the last Z/28 CTF car GM used. It went to auction with less than 200mi! Don't know if you noticed that is is a NO A/C car, so the first and last CTF cars were white and had no A/C, and that accounts for 2 of the 4 white CTF cars so equipped. |
