What tires are you using

I am going to be replacing my Trofeo's with something else. I may daily this car a couple times a month, but I track it more. I have about 50% left on my Trofeo's, and I was looking at the Bridgestone RE-11's.

Just curious as to what everyone else is using. I have been told that the Pilot Super Sports are good, but get "Greasy" after about 7 laps.

I took my Z to the track this past weekend, and did between 80-90 laps. I would say that another two day track event will be the end of these Trofeo's.

What are you guys using for double duty?

RE-11's here. 305 front 325 rear. Car went into storage right after I put them on. The little bit of road time I can tell you it's a different car. You can drive it with one hand now. Much more grip cold for sure.

My 'track time' will be limited to AutoX if anything for the foreseeable future.

I'm running Bridgestone S04s in 305. These tires run narrow in the 305 department. Just FYI.

Continental Extreme Contact DW here, 305 front 325 on the rear. Pretty good in GA right now, car makes 570/500 at the wheels.

RE-11s 305/325.
Use them on the street and track. Seem a decent compromise and a much better street tire than the Trofeo's with (I am guessing) 85/90% of the track performance. Much cheaper than the Trofeo's too.

If I had a spare set of Z/28 wheels, I would run Michelin Pilot Super Sports, PS2s(check ebay), or Bridgestones. For the track, the Trofeos are very good. I just purchased some Porsche "take offs" Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 305/30-19 & 325/30-19 for cheap. Nitto NT01s are supposedly very good compromise tire that is softer than a street tire but not as harsh as the Trofeos.

Because the fronts are 11" and the rears are 11.5" wide. There is room to play.

Only issue with Bridgestones is the tire weight. 3 to 4 lbs heavier than the MPSS. That's a lot of unsprung weight in this era of CCBS and carbon fiber wheels.
