I have heard little of it's prior history before I purchased it but I did speak with a guy on here who had seen it at a car show I believe near Ottawa. I assume with the milage and that fact that it was driven around the GTA and abroad as a show car for GM. It had 18,xxxkms when I purchased it.

I keep hearing things about collectibles, rarity, etc. Stop the madness. Get out and drive these cars. Whenever you die someone will fight for your possessions. The day you die your family will fight for your money and possessions. Get out there and drive.

I deal with these people everyday. Enjoy your car now!

..to add as well, the car had new brakes (rotors and pads) and tires put on before sale to the dealership before I purchased it.
CTF cars were built from 1/15/14 to 3/20/14. I believe the cars, as they were built, were first shipped to Penske, (Which is now QEK Global Solutions) in Warren, MI. At Penske, the cars were serviced, broken in properly and where changes were made, if any were needed.

I'm not sure how they are sold in Canada. In the US, when GM is done using the cars, they offer them for sale by running them through their, GM Dealership Auction. The cars are Titled as one owner cars, with the first owner being, "GM Corporate Fleet" . Since the cars are titled as "one owner", the warranty starts as soon as GM starts using the car.

My car, CTF #25, was built on 2/18/14. The warranty started on 2/19/14. I am the third owner. It is 1 of 3 CTF cars that are Black without A/C, compared to 1 of 12 Black without A/C MY cars.

When I asked the salesman how they received two of the three CTF Z's in Canada, he told me that the owner had a connection and was able to get these sort of vehicles more often than one would think.
I have full 7 year warranty and 2 year/40,000km with 4 free oil changes. Ive already had the drivers seat skin replaced through warranty (seat belt burn) and passenger side engine cover (peeling paint) replaced.

As you stated though, I am not the first owner so when I go and register it at the DMV it is considered a Used vehicle even though GM Canada sold it to me as a New vehicle.

As I said, all CTF units are considered salable cars. Don't confuse them with Pilot cars. Pilots for example don't have grain on the trim. Those become test cars and would not be sold.

But also on a very new car the CTF would need to be retrofit with all the latest parts. If it can't be the car may be repurposed as my 2010 was.
