My Best Whipple 1/4 Mile Pass Yet

I posted this in the 1/4 mile forum, but since this is directly tied to Whipple and supercharging, figured i would post it here as well.

Finally made it to the track this past Saturday 03/30/18. RPM out of Wilmington DE had a late model shootout at Cecil County in MD. My previous PB on street tires was 1.738 60ft, 10.871 @ 128.93.

Since then I have added 2" kooks, RF big gulp & NW103, retuned at CSP which it made 653/618. Also this was the first time out on my drag pack:

Front
Wheels: Race Star 92's 17x4.50 5x120BC 1.75"BS GLOSS BLACK
Tires: M/T ET FRONT 27.5/4.0-17

Rear
Wheels: Race Star 92's 17x10.5 5x120BC 7" BS GLOSS BLACK
Tires: M/T ET STREET R BIAS 28x11.5-17.

This is my first experience on DR's with a manual with this much HP. I was really happy to improve, although I was hoping for better. I need some more practice to get the 60ft down. The MPH is there for a 10.50 pass, just need to cut .1 from that 60ft and I should be there. I was probably the slowest car in the class, and in the final 4 I was taken out by a 9.50 CTSV from RPM with a maggie and NOS. But it was so much fun to be at the track on a beautiful day making passes.

Best Pass to date: 10.705 @ 131.92mph

You may want to run the stock box with a green filter or the smaller roto fab.. Been a lot post losing hp with the big gulp on smaller hp cars. 750 and higher is what mike from RF told me.. I could understand getting the bigger 1 so not to having to rebuy another later.

Great pass! Hooray for us M6 guys!!!!!

Any secrets you can pass a long on the launch technique?

From what i have experienced the DR's help in obvious ways, but it was so nice to just let it eat and not have to worry about blowing the tires off and catastrophic wheel hop. The MT ET Street R Bias Plys at 16 PSI held up to everything i gave them. Heated them up in 1st gear till i got some smoke, staged, brought the rpms up to around 3k, and smoothly and quickly gave it full throttle and letting the clutch out at the same time. Clutch held up fine so far, with about 24 supercharged passes on it. I am just going to keep giving it more RPM till the car tells me it does like it and see what happens. I figure eventually it will push thru the stock clutch.....the tires actually spun about 1" on the rim after Saturdays passes.

As for the RF big gulp, I had the standard RF for a SC application (sold it). And figured i would just do the big gulp with the NW103 TB. I figure there will be pistons, heads and cam in my future, so now i am all setup.

Josh, Heck of a pass. I think you will see that 10.5 with a little more track time. Local track is opening soon here so hoping to post up some improved times as well.
