I would negotiate. That's full price minus the GM rebate everyone gets. I think you have some wiggle room in there to get at least another $2-3K off.

I was able to get close to $3500 off my 2020SS1LE, but the rebate was $1500 vs $1000, but my car had fewer options and a lower overall MSRP and invoice price. And the dealer gave me $1K over the full KBB trade in value on my car.

That's high. Maybe $44k-45k would be a better deal. There's some room to work there for sure.

Check Koons in White Marsh Maryland and Criswell in Thurmont MD, they both have more than one dealership and usually have some 1LE's in stock.
I shopped both as each had a bunch 2-3 years ago, and both had decent discounts. Koons advertised the best price and after a couple days negotiating I got a decent deal.

End of the year can bring some good deals.

I've never once been unable to get at least 18% off msrp on a Chevy. That would put your sales price at $40K. Stay strong. End of November will be a much better.

Yeah but because of Covid inventory is extremely low. If you are looking for a specific color, trim/option, etc there is a good chance you will have to go out of state. I just don't see GM and dealers offering huge incentives.

Just to give you an idea there are only 2 2020 SS1LE (a 1SS and 2SS) in the entire New England area (and it's possible one or both are sold). Talking like 7 states here.

Crazy. There just is no incentive for GM to offer huge discounts especially when used values are way up. Most used 2017-2019 SS1LE's are going for high 30's.

I don't know what it is about MD, but they always seem to have some of the cheapest cars when I do national searches. I bought and shipped my Grand Cherokee from MD a year ago. Great deal on it.

At least check nationwide what the cheapest the cars are going for to get an idea of what's possible. I use car gurus because you can select the 1le package by selecting features-->performance package.

That's what I got off on my 1LE.
They didn't want to do it, but you got to stand your ground, walk if you have to, there are other dealers.

When I was looking it was the same thing, all the 1LE's were below the Mason Dixon line.
Over the course of six months or so there was one here in PA, a used one in NJ, nothing in NY or north of there. All were in Maryland, a couple in VA and then more down in NC and SC.

I think there is quite a bit of competition down in the Baltimore and DC area.

I bought mine (2019) for 37+TTL. Or 39 if you add back the "mustang owner incentive" they were offering back then. Dealer 'margin' is 9-11% so price should be MSRP-freight*0.9-incentives. For whatever reason the current prices are miserable.

Lindsay Chevolet Woodbridge VA used to have quite a few back in Jan/Feb. Once production flow-thru picks up the prices should improve.

Get them to wholesale and leave them the holdback money. Figure rebate/discount of 1000-1500 and pick up a GM Buypower card which you can rack up and get another 1500 off, so you'll be at roughly 40-41k out the door.

That's my plan when I order and I can live with that number.
