Coming from a Challenger and before that a 4th gen, the 6th gen has a really solid body and suspension, there is no hops shudder what not. So take it easy and don't blow the tires away, even a slight bog is preferable to blowing the tires away. WOT at about 25 to 28 ish stock, 35 with mods..

I did the 4.0 on my third run ever and have stock tires at stock pressure. 4.0 is not "easy" but it is definitely doable on the street in daily driver trim.

The clutch is slipping for the most part during the first 1.5 seconds. It is NOT pop the clutch... too much shock load.

You should share some of those vids.

I think flooring it from a dead stop is one of the most common mistakes people make. Goodyear Eagle F1 tires are great, but can still be overwhelmed by applying 400 lb/ft of torque while launching.

vid produced to show Challenger clown with supercharger that I did not have my car on jackstands. I also have a supercharged Challenger and was running the EVIC (the Challenger timer) many years before he even owned a Challenger, but just cause he needed a built engine and a supercharger to get sub 4.0 on luxury radial tires, no way, according to him the Camaro M6 could even do low 4s...

As stated in that post a while back 4.0 or better will be the norm come this fall and cold weather and some practice and break in miles...

Also he is gone but not forgotten.

I am envious! lol That is some excellent driving in an M6 Camaro. Did you use launch control at all?

Thank you very much, I appreciate the compliment.
No I do not use launch control.
Since i normally have traction control on for daily driving i figured it is worh my time to figure out how to launch with it on.
Now that I know I can pull a 4 with it on, I'll probably just never turn it off lol.
Off topic question- can these rims hold wider tires?

not really you can go with Nitto 555R 275 /40 they are tall and sticky, or you can go with some 220 tread wear summer tires...

I never did well with traction control on, I may try it again dunno.

Are you guys getting your low 0-60 times on the stock Good Year Eagle F1's?

I have done at least a 4.0 bone stock probably better depending on wheel spin in 2nd as I have many times in the high 3s, 1/4 tank of gas, 30 degrees out, 28 PSI rear. At some point we are talking about wheel spin throwing off the readings, where? dunno. We do know a stock SS m6 has been instrument tested at 4.0, GM claims 4.3 for the M6. Your auto, GM claims 4.0 so I would assume by fall may guys will be putting the auto into the mid 3s. As stated at some point it is speedo error due to tire slip, we don't know where that point is.

I've hit 4.4s so far. I'm also on DWS06 and it was 37F outside. Launched at just above 3500RPM. I'll probably do some more runs when it warms up, as I had tire spin in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
