I just rolled over 2 years since I bought my 2018 1LE. I actually have not even been to a track yet (just once to the dragstrip). I bought the 1LE because I knew if I bought a stock SS, I would have spent money to upgrade all that stuff anyway that you get with the 1LE package, for likely a lot more. I thought the 1LE package was actually a good deal considering all that you get, plus I really liked how it looked.

It's just like my gaming PC. The games I play can probably be ran on a computer 1/4 the power of mine, but I just wanted all the better stuff just in case I ever do need it.

Were both a waste of money? Probably... but sure makes me smile when I see/use them.

I'm in California and it's $120 to track the car at Streets of Willow or like $140 at Big Willow. These cars are freaking blast to enjoy on track. I recommend it to everyone now haha! Regardless, enjoy your cars however you see fit!

I track my 1LE BUT EVEN if I didn't I would still get it. I'm vain, I think it's unique and looks cooler than the standard dime a dozen SSs. Also, i'm lazy, and I love the wrapped hood, wheels/tires, and black bits - I would rather pay for it then do any of this myself after buying the car. :-)

The 1LE is more stable at high speeds

I track my ZLE but even if I didn't the mag ride is too soft for me.
I drove it, it made the "big car" feel much worse.

The ZLE being able to turn in almost as crisply as my Lotus puts a smile on my face every time to the point that I haven't really driven it since I bought the Camaro.

The differences in the way the car looks are not insignificant either. The dive planes and wing makes the car look amazing.

And at the end of the day I don't want my sports cars to be more comfortable then my daily, otherwise my daily would just sit forever. I want to get back into my daily and be happy and appreciate it for what it does best.

It was 1LE or nothing for me, track days or not! This is my 4th Camaro. The first 3 were Z28s - nothing less would do - and I had never heard of track days when I owned those cars (1974, 1980, 1984). I do track my 1LE now, but only 1 day a year. I'll never come close to its handling/braking limits on public roads, but I just love the way it looks and would have had a severe case of buyer's remorse had I bought a non-1LE (unless it was a ZL1).

I was just in TX and I'm sure if I was there long enough, I would have eventually seen an 1LE. As it was, I saw several camaros, but nothing as special as a 1LE. There is something about a car that comes with enough rubber that is just right. Watching pizza-cutter-wheel mustangs and challengers go by makes me laugh.

funny you say this. at one point there were 4 (17-18) 1LEs, including mine, within 5 miles of me. 2 of them were white 2ss cars and the other was red. they are all over the place here. i've seen 2 krypton cars and at least 2 other black ones like mine.

I've only seen three SS 1LE's in the wild, and last night saw a '19+ RS 1LE Crush in Boyertown.

I could't agree more. The closest track is NOLA and I might one day. I chose the 1LE because they are not as common as a "REGULAR" ss, especially in my city.
