2021 LT1 I picked up a couple weeks ago and this color really caught my attention! Saw it at the dealership traded my hyper blue metallic 16 RS for it I’m in love

Absolutely it does! At some angles/lighting it looks like Nightfall Gray Metallic...



And then you walk to the other side from a different angle/different lighting and it is full of blue!

Polished isn't for everyone being as how dark wheels are the "IN" thing. These are OEM fitment 20x10's front and 20x11's rear MRR FS06 in HIGH polish and clear coated.

Eh, just like how murdered out cars are a bit of a dying fad, so are "dark wheels" as the universal "cool"

While I do prefer more subdued finishes, I think chrome is making a bit of a comeback

Picked up this 2022 ZL1 this week. I put the deposit down when it was IN TRANSIT to dealer on December 10, 2021, and it was delivered to me February 8, 2022. Shadow Gray Metallic, A10, sunroof and PDR.

Like you, I put a deposit down while it was in transit in Nov. then picked it up mid-Jan. Just got a ceramic coating applied, and will have it on the road sometime in April. Love this color.

Thank you for the on point, real world experience with SGM. I have loved this color since it came out and have lusted after a ZLE in SGM since I first saw it in person (photos don't do it). I'm elated I have a pending deal on a near perfect example in this stellar hue.

I had a black 2002 Z06 Corvette for many years. It was a lot of work keeping it clean. I would machine polish it once a year to remove the swirls. Constantly applying glaze and wax. I do enjoy detailing my cars so it wasn't a big deal for me. A short trip to the gas station would make it look dusty and what I call "hazy".
Shadow gray looks clean and crisp even after a long road trip. It hides dirt and dust well.
I'm really careful washing my cars using clean, soft micro fiber towels and a leaf blower prior to drying.
So far there hasn't been a need for a machine polish. Seems like they use a more robust clear coat than they used back in 2002. Even the black hood center section on my ZL1 has remained completely swirl free up to now.
Dust and dirt don't show on this color like a black car.
I use Meguires ultimate paste wax every other month and Meguires ultimate spray detailer in between. My car is not ceramic coated. The finish has held up nicely.
The color looks awesome, especially in the sun. I used to look for shady places to park my black Z06 because it showed dirt, dust, imperfections and that "hazy" look I mentioned above that nobody ever noticed except me . Not the case with shadow gray metallic.
