From Wild Horse Pass (previously "Firebird Raceway") out here in Chandler, AZ this past weekend with NASA. I was in HPDE 1, wish I could have gotten into 2 or 3, but maybe next time. The car was a total blast to drive, and impressed the heck out of the instructor who has a Corvette. Temperatures all stayed well within safe limits and the tires were just phenomenal every session.

I miss WHP Main, East, and Inde... Track days 11 months out of the year... Can't beat that!

I think I ran a 1:01.xx in my old STI at East.

I honestly think they just aren't tightened enough from the factory. It took minimal effort to remove the passenger side lower link. I applied a drop of red locktite to both sides to prevent it from happening in the future.
That's the sound! I think they are finger tight from the factory lol. Wasted so much stupid time trying to track it down.

Sidenote: Was your instructor Paul? It sounds like him in the video. haha

Edit: Disregard. I see you have it listed as Kirby.

This is the cleanest/least traffic lap that I had a chance to push the car a little bit. Video was taken at the instructor training event (2017-3-18):

Here's a teaser photo. Just back from NCM, where I tried out a new track wheel/ tire combo... yes, those are 18's (square 18x10), yes those are non-DOT slicks. My mind has officially been blown (in a very very good way). PDR video to follow.

I'm hoping it's closer to 2 G's. I've had the OEM G3's up to ~ 1.4X G's.

obviously I missed your post, sorry.. It's Oregon Raceway Park, my all time favorite track. Located in Grass Valley, OR . I am a club member there since 2012, very nice people and tons of track time since club events are all in open format.
My 2nd favorite is, Ridge Motorspors Park.. not as much elevation changes but very technical track with its corkscrew turn . I really like the tracks in NorthWest, though I don't go to Pacific Raceways any more and PIR didn't get my interest as much.

Here's the new track in Vancouver Island ("Island Motorsports Circuit"), I've never been there but am also planning to go there this season:

Here's a couple laps from the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, KY this past weekend with NASA. I'm running square 18x10 et 25 Apex wheels with 280 Yokohama take-off non-dot slicks. The car was absolutely amazing. Also, after running DTC 60's at Barber last month, I decided I'd give the OE Ferodo pads a try, and I'm glad I did- they were amazing. I had brought the hawks just in case I needed to swap them out, but I ran all three days on the stock pads. I was still feeling out the tires in this session, the Camaro can run in the 2:10 range in ideal conditions and no traffic. Also, the PDR speedometer is 5.5% fast as the '18 wheel/tire combo is 5.5% smaller overall diameter. Quick reference: 140mph = 132mph, 100mph = 94.5mph. I'm running with TC/Stability off, rev match off.

I got lucky, a good friend had these sitting around from his e36 M3 race car. They are 18 x 10 et 25 Apex ARC8. The front required a 5mm spacer to clear the strut, the rears bolted right up. Offset is about perfect and they are way light also. Added bonus is tighter gearing as the OD is 5.5% smaller.

Awesome, and thank you for the details. Sticky-icky tires always make for a happy day at the track.

I'm kind of blown away you found the stock pads good, and better than DTC60's. I guess I'll keep mine on for my first track day next month as a baseline. I'm envious of you guys having year-round track seasons!
