Or during a final prep before sending your build south an issue arose, was corrected for your build, and since then corrections are being made on the rest.

This is a PR mess in the making because so many early builds were customer orders and those customers are taking notice. I predict when what happened is revealed it will be a parts problem, not an assemblers skill deficit.

Holding builds, early or not, more than three weeks for quality checks, is not normal.

I am a customer taking notice...That is why I put the number of days stuck at 3800 in my signature listed below....BECAUSE I care and I am taking notice. If I don't mention it somewhere on these forums, nobody will take notice. I am just hoping that someone from CHEVROLET reads these threads. I think a forum member mentioned a while ago that reps. from Chevy do read these threads, not sure though................

Well my car ISN'T in QA Hold and has been sitting in the parking lot in Lansing. A car built the day after mine was delivered earlier this week and a friends car built the SAME day as mine was received on 11/13/15. Even my dealership is like...What the @#$@ is going on?!?!?!

Can't say if you are in a qc hold or not but can say, if you are still at 3800, it is not a shipper problem holding you up as shipping can not touch a build still at 3800. Shipper responsibility begins after 4000 and includes the transfer of legal responsibility at 4104 and actual shipping responsibility at 4200.

I am actually pleased at the somewhat negative(can be construed as positive) press GM is finally getting for this.

You can read the official line in the link. I am sure lawyers already reviewed it.

But we need to remember there is a carrier problem. When the economy tanked both rail company and trucking companies got rid of haulers that had reached their time and when the vehicle industry came back, it came back stronger than carriers were ready for.

But it is not all the carriers fault, indeed, I suspect a single digit percentage wise are being held up due to not enough vehicle carriers to meet demand. And the extra time is days not weeks.

Correct, its not a shipper problem. According to my dealer it is the LIFO (Last In, First Out) issue. They do have a car in QA Hold, and were told about it. Mine is not, and they haven't received a reason it hasn't been shipped yet. As you mention, 3800 means its just "sitting" there at the factory lot. I believe Becky also said she has some cars stuck at 3800 from the same TPW. The whole thing is just weird.

Soooo, mine has been at 3800 for 43 days. It's sitting there waiting for what exactly? Waiting to get fixed or Waiting to get shipped?
