2019 - 2020 Camaro 1LE Question

Forgive me if this has been raised in the past.

With the introduction/announcement of the 10-Speed Auto going into the ZL1 - 1LE, what are the odds of the current SS for 2019/2020 being offered with the auto?

From any of the insiders ... Do we expect to see any major changes to the 2020 Camaro SS 1LE? I am in the market for a new Gen6 1LE and would hate to see a new or better 1LE come out in the next few months.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!

I don't think you'll see any mechanical changes on the 1LE for 2020. The only thing that might change is the updated front to match the SEMA concept cars.

I'd agree with that. I suspect the ZLE 10A happened mostly because of the GT500 release news that it's auto only. GM badly needs sales...

Thank you both for the input. I do like the color match front bumper ... it makes the cars look less like a Dodge or Lexus.

An auto option for the 1LE SS would be the best thing GM could do. Everyone wants the 1LE, but most dont want a manual. I know I would guy an auto 1LE SS in a heart beat. It would be the car to have.

Honestly I think you're 100% right, an A10 SS 1LE would sell like crazy, but who knows if they will do it.

And then everyone would complain about it being slower than a regular SS at the straight line track...

Given C8 is coming on July 18th with an apparently revised LT1 putting out 500+HP, i wouldn't be surprised if power numbers got revised accordingly for 2020MY SS.

To be honest, I’ve owned 2 3rd Gen 1LEs - both automatics with little to no miles. Back in the day the thing to do was to buy an automatic because it was the better engine 350 (5.7) vs the standard 305 (5.0).

Racers would buy an automatic and swap the transmission if they wanted. If Chevy was keeping the 1LE true to the spirit they would offer it with radio and AC delete with radio being optional.

i was very said when they announced the zl1 1le auto and if they make the regular 1le in auto i would be even more disapointed

the 1le should only be available in manual but oh well its 2019 who knows what will happen to performance cars!
