One Touch Convertible Switch

Hey all,

Has anyone yet created a one touch switch for the convertible tops on these bad boys?

My Crossfire had the annoying "must hold the button down the entire time" safety feature as well and one of the members in the Crossfire Forums created a replacement switch that allowed you to just hit it once and the top would completely go up or down. Then you could double tap the switch to put all of the windows up.

This would be a great mod I think, specifically the window part since I hate the way ours are setup. If no-one has done this yet, perhaps I could reach out to the guy on the Crossfire Forums to see if he could do this for our cars as well.

Sincerely,
Tex

Oh also, has anyone created a mod for getting the top to go up with the fob as well as being able to bring it down?

I would be super interested in this as well, but I have not seen any talk about it at all. Surely someone out there has done this, right?

I seem to remember someone doing a mod to the car to put the top up using the remote. I think they had to hack the infotainment system, or some related system. It may have been Gen5DIY.

All you need is a two-channel (or pair of) remote-operated relay/timer(s) inserted into the circuit with the existing rocker switch.

This would be a piece of cake for the Gen5DIY crew and likewise any good stereo/remote start installer who will accept a liability waiver.

You can probably DIY with a few tools and the will to experiment

They make one for the Corvette. I wonder if it will work on the GEN 6 Camaro?

I keep emailing mod4cars about our cars, they keep telling me thay want to make one for the camaro but thay can't find anyone in Los Vegas to let them use there car to prototype one. I don’t think there to interested in making it. The car has been in production for 4 years.

One of my 6th gens in a vert SS id like this on it . The corvette guys have one already . And yes the annoying issue of having to roll up the rear quarter windows after each time the top is down would be nice .

I have the Mods4cars on my Corvette convertible and Lamborghini Spyder. Works perfectly. Allows you to use your key fob to open and close the top as well as roll windows up or down. Button inside the car becomes one touch for up or down. Too bad the haven't made one for the Camaro convertibles. Great product.
