Air bag light
So I installed an aftermarket seat in my car knowing that the oem seat had an airbag and the airbag light would turn on since it was removed but now I’m wondering how I can get the car to think the airbag is still there. The harness from the oem seat is complete out of the car and stuck to the oem seat. I could take the harness off the seat but that would be a pain and eventually the seat will be going back in the car.
So my question is how do I trick the car into thinking there’s still an airbag?

I'd put a low ohm rheostat across the yellow wires that would have gone to the airbag and keep lowering it until the error goes away. You need a way to clear the errors though and that usually can't be done by disconnecting the battery nor will it clear itself

A rheostat would have been easier, but guess and check resistors will work.
The air bag is yellow and black wires, so you'll want to connect to the unused pins connected to those wires. Also, don't try measuring the resistance of the air bag directly... It is a live bomb. |

I've been searching for a fix for this since I want aftermarket seats.
