There is one on auto trader for $33,500 private seller w/11,700 miles. Just a word of advice when you see a 1le for sale at a dealership in the low 30k range that means they don’t know about the 1le package. I tirelessly looked on every website looking for a deal on a 1le for 6 months .I found 3 at a really good price which was 32,000 and up and I put 2 different deposits down and neither dealership would sell me the car for the price listed. And I offered full listing price in all 3. This was before I was on the forum here, now I know your much better buying form a member here or buying new. I ended up buying a new 2018 1le for 38,500... the cheapest used anywhere last May was 36,000

My experience when I was shopping for one exactly. These cars are NOT selling in the high 20s unless they have a TON of mileage

I have my 2017 1LE w/PDR for sale. 4750 miles. Borla 60606 mid-pipe paired with the Borla S-Type axleback with Carbon Fiber tips. $35,250. I figure all that Borla is worth $1000 used lol. I am not “actively” selling it. I have it posted on this site and put a post on a Camaro Facebook page and that’s about it.

That 2018 is probably priced there due to chevys 15% deal for 18 Camaros which means you can’t use the 0% financing on that car.

Just another data point, I got 33k for my 2SS 1LE on trade a few weeks ago. Most offered 26....

So you can buy a new 18 1LE for $35k and get 0% for 72mos? I'm considering trading my 17 1SS 6M with NPP and the black wheels with 32k miles. But I see dealers selling 2013-2015 Camaro SS manuals for $27-30k!!

Personally I’ve never seen those prices. If you do find that price buy it immediately!

I just checked again the dealer I bough mine from. Brand new 2018s start at $34,987, plus many others close in price. Brand new 2019s start at $40,951.

And this dealership is awesome. I have never been treated as well by any dealer (and that includes Jaguar and Mercedes dealers) in my life.

I'd be interested to see all of the discounts that they have stacked up there to come up with that price. There's also some fine print about dealer fee, wheel locks, etc. It's probably still a really good deal, but unlikely most would qualify for ALL of the incentives that they have stacked up to get to that price.

Eh Criswells is okay. I’ve bought a couple vehicles from them. The Thurmont location likes to stack discounts into their online price that many people don’t qualify for. They also like to remove fees like the destination charge, etc to fool people into coming in. They’re biggest plus is the selection.

Lets not forget the 2k mustang rebate, and whatever else combination of silmutenious occupations you have to have to qualify...oh, and $200 for nitrogen fill, $175 for lug nuts, then whatever they charge for vin etching, mandatory floor mats, and doc fees, and freight fee...the numbers are ball park but you get the point about dealer advertising...

Stopped in there Sept 2017 and looked at a Black 1LE, took it for a test drive and all, they wouldn't budge on their price which was a little more than the amazing interweb ad.
So I adjusted my budget, saved a few more bucks and went back in March 2018 and talked to the same salesman about the same exact car still sitting on their lot over six months later.

They wouldn't make a deal.

I was prepared to make a deal, budgeted more money, but they offered less for my trade than before, wanted more for the car that sat on the lot all winter than when I was there six months earlier.
It was like they didn't care if they sold a car or not.

Ended up going to Koons and got the deal I was expecting even though Koons appeared to be more of a "Stealership" kind of organization than Criswell.

Criswell did seem like a nice enough place with pleasant people, but I was there to buy a car, and had money in hand.
Oh well.

I kind of want to go back to Criswell with my 1LE and just cruise past that salesman's desk, just smile wave and rev it up a little as I roll past.

In a few months 2020's will be out making a 2017 a three model year old car. I tried various car depreciation calculators for the average new car ... and with purchase price of $40k, 3 years reduces the price in a range of $23k to $27k (again for the average new car). My take away is even the more pessimistic values discussed in this thread put a 1le better than average depreciation.

All I can say is that I made one phone call, plus a couple of emails, to select the the vehicle and confirm the price, drove to Criswell from a business meeting, dropped the rental car, they stayed open late to process my transaction and even bought be dinner.

I was driving my 2018 1LE in the exact color that I wanted, within hours of first making contact, and there were zero surprises. They even took my personal check, didn't even want a cashiers check.

These vehicles (SS 1LE) are readily available with hearty discounts from any number of high volume chevy dealer. The same is always true about Corvettes (I almost bought a Grand Sport instead of the 1LE), huge discounts if you just do a tiny bit of homework.

Paying $36K for a 2017 1SS will only happen if it is an uninformed buyer (there are plenty around) or someone who just does not want to bother with searching and/or buying from a bit far away (plenty of those around also).

But I wish everyone good luck when it is time to sell.

As for me, I assume I will sell it for $18K (1/2 what I paid for new) after 3 years of ownership. And that is the bargain of the century. Drive such a great car for $500/month in depreciation.
