Make time, get out and drive it, so its not just sitting in the garage. Atleast get a little more enjoyment out of it before taking a loss. It's unfortunate that 1LE's and ZL1's depreciate so fast, they are such awesome cars!

I took it out today when we had a break in the rain. It is really such a fun car. Manuals are getting rarer and even though the RS3 is faster, it is an entirely different driving experience.

FWIW, I just purchased my 2017 with 25k miles for $30k.
However, the guy that was selling it did so because his wife drove the car most of the time and she was pregnant, too difficult to drive a sports car when pregnant. Fortunately, he said he did the break in, which I was concerned about.

It's my DD so not much garage time, I learned from the past.

I had a 2001 BMW MRoady and would only drive it on nice sunny days, which kept the miles down, but also kept me from enjoying the car.
When I sold it with only 21k miles 3yrs later, I thought that guy is going to enjoy my car more than I did and won't need to purchase mods, since I did that too!

So now, I've decided to have just one car...plus my wife's car, and drive it as much as I can and enjoy it as much as I can...repairs and mods will come and go, but I'll enjoy the ride and mods as much as possible.

Remember, detours in life can happen anytime and unexpected.
Life is too short, enjoy the ride before the road ends!

I daily the Audi RS3 (need easy backseat access for our 2 toddlers), and on weekends i'm usually still with the kids and we're going around to sporting events, birthday parties, etc - in the SQ5. I bought this car new in July of 2017 and it only has 2500 miles on it now.

Anyway, how is the market for this car? I've kept it so clean, thinking I would have it forever. I did the paint protection film and catch can right when I got the car. It only has light mods without tuning, etc - I still feel like the car is basically new. Also, the pricing websites like KBB don't seem to understand what a 1LE is - they are pricing like it's basically a 1SS. I know i'm gonna take a loss on it, but what should I be prepared to ask? I appreciate any advice from those who know

First off dont look at KBB. Dealers and banks and credit unions book off NADA only. I have friends and family and a wife in loan and banking. NADA, has a listing for 1LE package and Magnetic ride. I looked it up and retail is $35,650, trade in is $32,775. So I would start at $35k o.b.o. and go down from there. $34k is a fair price for both parties. Banks and credit unions will loan up to NADA retail. Hope this helps......

I'm not sure what market you guys are living in, but I bought my brand new 2018 SS 1LE for $37,300 in MD a year ago. The same dealer has a brand new 2018 in stock listed at $34,987, and multiple 2019s for $40,xxx. All with ZERO percent financing for 72 months.

Any buyer will likely trade in, and will save ~$1,000 on sales tax buying from a dealer vs private seller.

So that puts the competitive price from a brand new 1SS 1LE from a private seller offering zero% financing at $33,987, with age and miles depreciation you are talking $28K tops private, $26K tops to dealer.

There is no way anyone, other than a clueless person, would pay $35/36K+ on a used SS 1LE.

Unless your market is very different than around here (Northeast) and/or infested with clueless buyers.

My suggestion is - drive the car like it should be driven and enjoy it. I have ~7,500 miles on mine and on my second set of tires, third set of brakes, and 5,000th set of smiles.

Lol apparently you got the deal of a lifetime then....only “clueless” people would sell their vehicles for less than what they are worth IMO. That’s just the facts.

Just as a general note, this is not true in every state.

Currently there are two listed on autotrader 32-33k.
About a month ago on sold in Phoenix for 31 and in December a high mileage one sold for 27k.
