1/ Buy to bottles of Castrol SFR. It's expensive but why cheap-out with anything but the best.
2/ Use a turkey baster to empty the master reservoir. 3/ Starting bleeding at the front, then the rear. It will take 1.5+ bottles of SRF to properly bleed the entire system. 4/ You're good for a full 10 to 20 track events.

How many track days or sessions should DOT 3 brake fluid last before it's changed?

I will also vouch for Castrol SRF. I swapped it in before the first event with my car and have had zero brake fade/pedal softening over the course of 5 track days in ~2 months.

Why do you say zero? I don't doubt DOT 4 is far better, but zero?
Does GM recommend changing DOT 3 to DOT 4? I'm just getting into tracking for the first time this year. Not a fast track, lots of corners.

I think OE mfrs are concerned with brake fluid viscosity - and how it might affect ABS and stability control calibrations.
Might not matter to a driver who's threshold-braking and puts stability control in a reduced sensitivity mode, turns it off, or doesn't have it to begin with. Norm

Already had 1 member recently who stuck with DOT3 and cooked the fluid, he buried the nose of his car in the wall and is now crying to GM for the damages when it is all his fault for not following the track day setup guide.

I did three track days on stock fluid and then had an event that made me change it immediately. You can flush the stock fluid out sufficiently with one bottle of Castrol SRF. It is compatible with DOT 3, so you don't have to purge every last drop. You should also pull all four wheels off the car and check brakes and suspension before any track day, so just go ahead and do the fluid.

I'll still be changing the fluid since everyone seems to agree the manual says to and it makes a big difference.

It's on page 4 in the Track Preparation Guide
