Light surface scratch

Any advice on repair this? It's really light, not even fingernail deep.

My car is red hot. Is there any recommended touch-up paint brands that are credible or do I need to order from GM?

IF you can't feel it with a fingernail then you may get by with a compound and polish. I'd try to machine it out first before going the touchup paint route. Good luck! Doesn't look too bad.

I would try to compound it with a D/A polisher and some good compound. I betcha you can get most if not all out with a few passes.

That's in a tough spot. The plastic fenders are tougher to buff out than the metal panels.

Some of it appears to be paint so that will come off pretty easily. Start with a claybar.
Then a dual action polisher with 3" orange pad with Meguiar's M110, followed by a white pad and Meguiar's M210.

I agree, if the damage can be felt with your fingernail, if it has en edge to it, then it's more complex. Some minor buffing can reduce the appearances but you're possibly looking at a touchup and even then it's not going to be invisible.

If you need a touch-up paint, paintscratch is a good source.

That looks like it's just in the clear coat. I would try something like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, hand applied with a little big of effort. If you do that, wax afterwards.

If you can't feel it with your nail, it's most likely paint transfer. Get a small bottle of Carpro Fixer compound and use a yellow wax pad by hand if you don't have a machine. It leaves very little, if any marring after use. I wouldn't use Megs Ultimate, it tends to leave a lot of marring on softer paint, which on the plastic bumper covers, is always soft because this area is not baked on at the factory like the metal/aluminum painted areas.

Be sure to wash, and wipe the area down with IPA, prior to using compound. Once you have removed all the paint transfer, then you will be able to see the actual damage to the paint.

Wipe down again with IPA to remove residue and re-apply protection to area.

If it turns out to be deeper, here is your best touch up application.

No one has brought this up yet? The new Optimum "clear coat in a bottle" stuff? Basically a wipe on clear coat that fills in the damaged areas. (If there is clear damage under the transfer.) Not cheap, but looks amazing.
