Do it up. I put a ZL1 body kit on my ‘10 2LT. Until someone wants to make my car payments, what they think/say has zero bearing.

Your car, your money. I agree that the ZL1 bumper looks better than the stock SS bumper. And honestly, if it makes you happy to have your car looking like that, then go for it.

if they don't wash it, their opinion doesn't matter.

I like the zl1 front look, a lot. so long as you don't go around saying the car actually is a zl1 when it isn't, who cares.

Blue Velvet look so good and he has the perfect rims on it also. His paint looks a mile deep. Gorgeous car.

My 13 ZL1 color was Blue Ray so I felt going with Blue Velvet wasn’t an option for me. Whenever I see one ...

The SS Bumper looks 10xs better than the Zl1 bumper. Chevy even admits the SS grill looks better. The ZL1 grill was a necessity and simply flows air better for track purposes.

If you have any inkling of selling or trading in the car, I wouldn't do it. Dealers want stock vehicles on trade and the market for an SS with a ZL1 front end will be limited.

Enjoy your car for what it is. There are a lot of ways to customize your car without turning it into something it's not.

As an owner(finally) of a ZL1 I feel like people that want to do the conversion to the ZL1 parts are trying to make their Camaros into something it’s not but I do understand the good look of the front end and other parts. I would suggest that a person save the money on converting an SS and put that on a ZL1(new or used) but like others said it’s your Camaro so do what makes you happy because ultimately you are the one paying for the car!

I will say, on an LT or RS it is a bit odd.

The SS however, the front end fits the sound, character and visceral nature of the car when you drive it as so.
Keep your original bumper and drl lights though, you can always go back.

The American Authority version does look ricey though with all the sharp angles and pointy 80's CAD finish and splitter, but to each their own.

I did the ZL1 appearance conversion on my 2010 Camaro I will be doing it on my 17 Vert. I could care less what people think I love the look of the ZL1 bumper and hood.
