Age limit on SS 1LE GY SC3 tires?
I have a decent amount of tread left on a set of GY SC3 tires, enough for another track weekend, but they're at about 2 years old at this point including sitting in the garage for two winters. Do I need to worry about the rubber compound breaking down due to age on these tires?
I'd like to put at least one more track weekend on these tires, but if traction could be compromised by the age then I'd rather just get a new set. Thanks!

2 years is still well within their serviceable life span. You said the car has been in a garage for a big chunk of that time, and you're in the midwest so it's not like they get much UV exposure even when they're outside.
Tire Rack, as always, has good info on all tire topics: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiret...jsp?techid=138 Within that article is the mention that GM recommends replacing tires after 6 years if they haven't worn out by then.

Even if you are buying new tires which are sometimes already 1-1 1/2 half years old and considered new. Don’t worry, the tires are in good condition. Have fun.

Thanks! I wasn't sure if there were any special considerations for track usage.
