. Daaaaamn

Seriously, very good information! I was always told to avoid heat buildup at all cost during a break-in because it could cause uneven pad wear. I guessing what you're saying is that they must be heated, as long as it's controlled. Your statement about the difference in thermal loads of a standard passenger car compared to a high performance car makes absolute sense so I realize it was naive of me to think the break-in would be the same for the two types of cars.

That's not even a convincing deflection of the topic. You completely ignored the reality of production car brake bedding, and instead stated the obvious of high performance burnishing. Since you failed to read the OPs post, I'll try to get through to you again. Nowhere did he mention tracking or otherwise imply high performance application, you assume it like a fool.

Lol, you're absolutely the worst poster on this entire site, both as far as content and attitude.

OP's profile beneath his name indicates he drives a 2018 Camaro 2SS Redline. He posted this on the Gen6 Camaro forum. A logical approach to forming an opinion based on the information available concludes that OP has performance brakes.

Ryephile, who hurt you? There's still time to become reasonable. We are here to help.

You're still assuming his application. It's a street car and he installed street pads. Burnishing is simply not relevant.

Yes, it is a street car. Plus it's also a race car that will see track time.
I burnished the brakes per the manufacturer's recommendation.

What pads are you using on the track? I hope it's not the Z26's, as those are not a track pad.

Haven't looked too far into it yet. I just needed to get rid of those stock pads.
