Spark Plug Wires Removal Tips?

I'm trying to remove the spark plug wires for LT headers installation and I can't seem to be able to yank them out. I feel like if I pull any harder something will snap.

I've read how people say, "simply press the boot, twist and pull simultaneously" but I seem to be missing something.

I'm considering preemptively buying some MSD wires and just muscle the stock ones out... thoughts?

Ok I figured it out for anyone else struggling and clueless like me. It seems the trick is to first remove the cover and pull out the top of the wire first. It creates some sort of vacuum seal holding the bottom in if you try to be lazy and only remove the bottom part.

Did not require that much force, less than yanking the dipstick or the air box from the grommets for comparison.
