Zl1 1LE ordering questions

I think I’m going to order one of these cars but I was wondering if they have any holds on them or they take a little longer to process the build versus regular Camaros. This will be my sec order camaro. My first order camaro was approved that week. I’ve read some people are waiting months just for a email to say there car was selected is that the case or is that just in the beginning when they were first released?

GM was saying the amount that was going to be sold for the 2018 model year is only 400 cars, think there close to that amount now, ask your dealer if they have any left to order for this model year.

It may be better to search online for one for sale, and just as another member stated they may be done making them this year.
Ive reaad of some members of this forum waiting 6 months to get thier car.

I had to go country wide in my search, ended up finding my car 2200 miles away. almost all vehicles posted online as for sale at dealerships are usually ordered and sold before the car gets there; but they still post them as for sale (even when the car wasnt delivered yet) to get people to show up on the lot.

From what I was told the cars come fully loaded standard with exception to the NAV and PDR. if you can order a car do yourself a favor and get it the NAV and PDR; you'll thank me later.

Initial production numbers were estimated at 750 for 2018. But it is not 2018 ONLY...They'll keep making them for 2019.

The ordering process for ZL1 1LEs is a little different than other cars, since they are spreading that 750 out. Basically, there are only certain weeks that the factory will accept orders for ZL1 1LE, and if you happen to enter the order with a dealer too soon, it might take weeks for the order to be approved.

Each dealer should be able to tell you if they can still order one of them, based on their allocation for the year (which they will know). Or, as has been suggested - maybe try and find one already ordered, built, and sitting there?

The reason behind ordering one versus one sitting on the lot, I have about three months before I can make the actual purchase so I can order one and one time he came in a be set to go. Plus it seems like a lot of the one sitting on the market the colors I don’t want like white, black or the dark blue

I'm on my 6th month of waiting since my order was placed, but supposedly I'll see the car at the end of this week. You can look down in my signature to see my order date and build date and I still don't have the car.

Yes, my dealer and Chevrolet Customer Experience.

As you are aware, per standard procedure, QC info is not available. So, no info there. It's been a tough winter all around and I am sure that weather plays a role. I can't help but thinking that it comes down to logistics. Not enough cars on the boat? Perhaps GM/Chevy are waiting for enough cars headed this way to justify the cost.

Anyway, thanks for your concern. Appreciated.
