Call a lemon law lawyer in your area send them all the work orders you have on the car they will tell you if you have a case. I would do that before taking any loss on your car. The call is free. If you have a case you will get 100% back all the $$ you put out of pocket. Good Luck

Well kinda , but I don't want to give away my way of approaching the situation considering I'm still trying to get this resolved in a good way . The lemon law doesn't fall into affect unless they fix it And there is still something wrong they haven't fixed it yet and I am now working with another dealership. My transmission started a bad vibration in 2nd gear and is shifting funny 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd . So went to another dealership and they have a GM approved paint shop and seem like they want to make it right and keep me as a customer. So the story goes on

Hopefully this can be resolved soon and I can really enjoy my car and do some mods to it

They still don't have it resolved?? I guess replacing the car is out of the question? Had someone else with bad paint contact me the other day. His VIN was in the 50,000 range.

Yes 2 more have contacted me , obviously this is a consistent thing , no its not fixed . Took it into another dealer for the recall and the transmission issue. Showed the service guy the paint and he was more than willing to help. They also have a GM approved paint shop so it will be a Better situation. I wish so bad they would just replace it but at this point they aren't. I have seen a lawyer and just following the right steps at this point.

Wow , after reading this I think I may be getting a new Mustang for 2017 instead of a camaro.

GM should have just replaced that car for the amount they want for these cars.

Hate to say it but for the money , GM can't touch Ford when it comes to quality and performance.

I had a 15 Mustang GT and you're way off on the quality comment. The Camaro is far superior in quality than the Mustang GT. Don't use this OP thread to base your decision, this could have been resolved a long time ago with a lawyer, but the OP has this secret to resolving this that benefits him. This forum is only a small amount of people that own the Camaro, and some people only come here to complain. Buy what you want and be happy with your choice. For reference, you should go to mustang6g and read about their problems.

My friend has a 15 Mustang GT and the quality is no better/no worse than the Camaro. He has misaligned body panels on his mustang. If you go over to the mustang forums, they have their fair share of issues as well.

I agree GM should've replaced the car. I don't agree with your comment that GM can't touch Ford. Number one, the SS is a substantial step up in performance compared to the GT. Ford has some quality performance options of course but GM is more than competitive with the Camaro/Vette. For quality, have you looked at a JD Powers survey of late? This is for 2016:

I contacted the two of you last week. I talked to the owner of the dealership as my Dad does business with him. He is supposed to talk with his paint and body guy and start the process with GM to see about a new car. Hopefully all goes well, but we'll see. He seemed to have no issues with a full repaint, but I made it clear I want to work toward a replacement. I'll let you guys know what happens...

FYI I have contacted a lawyer and went through channels of lemon law for my state , I would go through this all again before I would be caught dead in a mustang!!!!. The real problem is the dealership I purchased from . GM (Chevrolet ) had been doing the best they can but the purchasing dealer and their District manager is who makes the decision. My car is now in the process of getting a new transmission GM is sending out a new transmission should be here on Monday. I have moved on to a way better dealership that shows concern for my happiness. My Car will hopefully be getting repaint after the transmission issue is complete. I started this thread because I have been in contact personally with others with the same color and just want people to understand Before you sign check your car out completely, because once you sign you can be left to deal with things you might not want to
