Question ebay: Found Two New Camaros (SS)

Looking at these two Camaros. My original idea was to wait for the 2017 ZL1 but I'm hearing the price starts at $65,000, or I can spend $45,000 now and add mods to get the HP up to at least 500 HP. The 2016 SS stock is 455 HP, am I right? What do you guys think? The 2017 ZL1 will be a beast and I'm not so sure I will need 640 HP!

Remember no one *needs* 640 hp, but the zl1 wont be available for another 6+ months, and pricing is still only a guess

You don't even need 455 Hp.

Big power is a waste on the street anyway. Been there done that.

Also you cannot build a ZL1 for less than the price of a ZL1. I built an SS and I owned a ZL1.

Looks like they are just listing them for sticker price. You can easily negotiate a better deal.

The 2nd one seems to be listed for sticker price. The first one has $2000 taken off sticker.

Thanks for commenting but I don't understand you 100%. Alright- so you've owned a few Camaros, the SS and ZL1. What do you advise? Buy the SS now or wait for the monster ZL1? I'm guessing with a 2016 SS, a few tasteful low key mods like headers and I can be around 500 HP? Thanks for your help. I'm leaning towards the SS. I really like the 2016 gray and blue SS. Thanks again folks.

Sorry, I'm a old Camaro enthusiast but new to the 6th Gens. Question: Are both Camaros 2SS models? The 2SS is the top of the line SS right? I suppose if I were to rank the Camaros from best to last, it would be ....

1/ Camaro ZL1
2/ Camaro Z/28
3/ Camaro 2SS
4/ Camaro 1SS
5/ Camaro V6

From what I have seen through my research is that you can do much better than $2k off MSRP. There is a dealer near you that advertises very low prices on in-stock Camaros but has a high dealer fee ($895) and not great Yelp reviews. Might be worth looking into for giving you another benchmark on pricing - Bomnin Chevrolet.

Thats a complicated question now, it depends on what you want

2017 ZL1 -- Hi-po Grand Touring
2017 2SS -- Less Hi-Po Grand Touring
2017 1LE/1SS -- Track rat Camaro with some upscale interior elements/tech
2017 1SS -- Less Hi-Po with less technology
2017 2LT/RS -- "low" performance with upscale interior (v6 or T4, personal choice, each has its benefits)
2017 1LT/RS -- "low" performance with nice exterior, and its a Camaro
2017 2LT -- its a Camaro with some nice tech bits
2017 1LT -- its a Camaro
2018(?) Z/28(?) -- (likely) ultimate Camaro track monster
2017 CoPo -- Fast in a straight line, not road legal

Feel free to correct me if Im wrong

the 2016 455 hp almost runs the same time as the 580 hp zl1 5th gen so don't worry about numbers, and yes i don't think those deals are that great.

I screwed up and while I got an agreed price on the car which was a good deal, I did not make them calculate the out the door price when I ordered. I'm thinking I'm going to get hit with a dealer fee that i did not know about when I go to pick up and I dont know if I really have much power to make them drop it. I'm not going to order another car now...

2ss comes with more bells and whistles ( leather , Heads up display, cooling seats and heated seats and i'm sure i'm missing other little things)

Thanks ... If I buy the 2016 2SS and add Headers and Open Air mod and a few other mods, what HP can I see, without going crazy and keeping the exhaust tone under control? 455 is stock HP... Could I see 500 HP? Also, you guys that ave automatics, any regrets to manual?

Thanks.
