Convertible top still broken post 2017 fix
I have a 2021 ZL1 convertible and the retractable hinge covers that were fixed with a bulletin in 2017 still both broke in less than 4000 miles) One side of the replacement parts are still on back order so I fear I’m not alone, or the fix still does not work. Has anyone had the repair done and does it work indefinitely?

The newest fix uses redesigned parts which add an additional clip to help keep the trim piece more rigid so the sliding cover is less likely to pop out of the guide slots. To install the new trim, the original window regulators must also be replaced with new ones that include a slot for the additional clip.
Was your repair done with the redesigned parts? Both mine broke and replaced with new regulators 2 and 3 years ago, no problems since. |

Thanks for the reply. Parts are on back order. Do you by chance know the new part order number ? The dealer had a problem locating them. Will be Curious as to which ones show up the old or the new

I had the pass side done on my 2018 about a month ago, took 2.5 weeks for the part to come in

Don't have the part numbers in front of me, but there are other threads here that cover it. A search in the convertible section will probably find it.
