Picked up a Very Clean 2003 Corvette Z06

Personally, I think when the C5's have the right exhaust they are the best sounding car out there. They have a unique sound. I came across a very clean one and decided to get it. I have a 2008 Corvette and as far as handling and power goes they are very similar. But, it's the exhaust note that made me want a C5. I have a full exhaust system coming that's identical to my C6, except it's ARH for the headers vs KOOK's. I'll post up progress updates as things happen but parts are taking a very long time to get. I'll get some high quality videos done, there will be a bit of comparison between the C5 and C6. Sounds like the exhaust will be here in a week or two but the Forgeline wheels will not arrive until December.

2003 Z06 Video Introduction:

That is a good year for that car. That series of LS engines are badass.

Should have a good exhaust video in a couple weeks of the C5.

Thanks! For me it had to be a 2003 because it's the 50th Anniversary for Corvette.

I take it that's yours? Good to see it; I have satin black wheels coming. I was wanting red but couldn't pass on this 6,700 mile one. I'm happy with it.

Yep, I picked it up last December to experiment with HPDE. Already was a modified track machine so I have no problem enjoying the vehicle the way the previous owner intended. A 6700 mile cream puff? I'd be hard pressed to stray too far from factory engineering because they were built so well and low mile, unmolested Z06s are getting harder to find.

I plan on keeping all the factory parts and not going too extreme with it. For now just a full exhaust and Forgeline wheels. I was looking for something more like what you have to race with some but came across this one.

I have to agree, this is my favorite generation of Z06. They are certainly not the fastest or probably not the best handling, but I feel that they are among the best balanced. It has a very good powertrain and corvette always had excellent front/rear balance. Every once in awhile I find myself looking at one in an ad. If I ever were to pick up a vette I think I would seriously consider a c5 Z06.

I love C5 Z06s. It's the only C5 I would ever buy.

I had a 99 Vert, we put all kinds of miles on it. Went all over the USA. At the time it was freaking awesome! I loved the manual top, the space in the hatch, and ride quality.

Traded it for a stroller

All corvettes are beautiful, they really did a good job with everyone of those.

Very good year for Vettes and still not insanely priced.

Nice pick up
