No thread can be complete without a Janetty Racing shameless plug. Jesus, we get it--you have a shop and want customers.

Given that he is one of the best Tuners active in these forums, I'm sure the OP appreciates his input. And coming from someone with first hand experience with Jannetty, they don't push sales much and are not biased toward any product. He has a whipple on his own, sold me a procharger, and also gives input on the heartbeat. I'm extremely happy with their services and if he didn't post like he does on these forums then I would not have found them and probably would have gotten shitty local tuning done and wasted time and money.

I have never dealt with Janetty Racing, but depending on which forum you use, there seems to be mixed reviews. Glad you guys have positive experiences. I'm fortunate that one of the most respected tuners of GM engines is based right here in Rochester, NY

Regardless I have personally thought to myself that it's so much nicer on this forum not having to filter out all the sales pitch posts in every thread by vendors like Corvette Forum has become. I don't have a problem with one or two posts here and there especially when it's unbiased and based on results though. |

I just think the negative comment wasn't necessary and maybe you could have taken the time it took to write that to instead give the OP your thoughts on the original topic that's all. If you have never dealt with them and experienced their services then don't you think it may be a little over the top to make an assumption that he made his presence in this thread simply to make a sales pitch?

Its a forum and he pays to be a sponsor plus he sells magnusons so he has every right to chime in anytime. He also sells Whipple and he can respond to those posts also. Its all good and I've met Ted at the Camaro Fest. Good guy and he put a lot of effort into helping customers and doing installs in a lot of heat that we all endured.

The thing that amazes me is all the time Ted takes to answer technical questions irrespective of product type. You may call that a pitch, but to me it shows that he cares about helping anyone whether they place an order or not. Personally, I have not purchased a thing from Ted, but have learned from his posts.

I love it, but tq management and instant fuel demand becomes a big issue. Unless I roll into throttle, tq is cut big time. If you plan on rolling with the stock unit you'll be alright. if I could do it over I'd go turbo.

I think most would agree that if everyone "gave their opinion" as you put it like you did here, in a non constructive way, these forums would be pretty shitty and useless. |
