Corsa Extreme 3" Cat-back Exhaust for SS (LS3) - SOLD!
I just bought this 3" cat-back from Corsa for my SS. Part number 14968. Polished 4.5" tips. Less than 300 miles on it. Pics on post #9.
Sounds absolutely fantastic. I find the sound level to be perfect. Cold starts have a good bark and will wake the neighbors after midnight. WOT screams. Noise completely disappears on cruise. The loudness is always behind the car, outside. Inside the car, this setup is much quieter than the factory exhaust. All of this written above is with 1-7/8" LT headers and no cats. Exhaust manifolds, cats (even high flow) would quiet it up a good bit. So why am I looking to sell it? Visited a road course where I was measured at 107db spl at the end of a straight, flat out at just over 6000rpm in 4th. That course has a limit of 103db and no matter how much I try to talk myself out of it, I really like that course and want to go back. I had to short shift for the rest of that event to keep it down but that's no fun so I am looking for a new exhaust. I like this one so much, I'll probably end up with a Corsa Sport. Corsa told me it will be 8-9db quieter than the Extreme. This was $1300 brand new. Looking for $1100 shipped in the 48 US for an almost new exhaust. Will ship in the original box. Post here and PM please. Thanks. Last edited by FunkedOut; 07-08-2016 at 09:02 PM. |

I have magnaflow street exhaust. Is 2.5. It has a dent from driveshaft beaking, but otherwise great. It will probably get you where you want to be, and I made 435 hp through it even with the dent. If you are interested I cold trade.

I can't see why it wouldn't.
It doesn't have the extra resonators that the 2.5" Corsa exhaust do for the L99. I understand they are there to quiet down the AFM mode noise. Corsa would know for sure. |

Are you selling any of the mid piping? Looking for near stock mid pipes for a v6 custom exhaust build.

This is 3" piping, not stock at all.
I'd rather not sell part of it unless I can line up all of it at one time. What are you interests in? Everything minus the axle back? Thanks for the interest. |

Yeah, I just need from header connection to muffler connection if I can find it. 2.5 or 3 would both wake up the note on this car. Can't see paying 1k plus for a system that I have to cut or is the stock 2.25. If you a buyer for the axle back just let me know.
