Hurst Roll Control Kit (Line Lock)

Can I just install this plane switch or whatever its called instead of the two supplied switches. I would like to flick the switch and go straight to engage rather than activating, then depressing the second witch to engage. I think it would be difficult to accidentally engage this type of switch . Any ideas or recommendations.

You could but it's pretty ugly, and a push button momentary switch is much better for a line lock.

Get a switchlink box and use the cruise control cancel button for a momentary switch. I put the power switch and light in the AC vent.

It makes for a nice clean stealth install.

I did not use the momentary button with mine. I installed only a single rocker switch. Works perfectly and has no issues. I will take some pictures of the setup

So just power and ground to one single switch should work correct.

It will work, just might be a bit more difficult to use. The idea of the momentary switch is to be able to come off switch to complete the burnout, plus some people use a light with the arming switch to let them know the system is armed. I used a remote control switch with a gauge light because I don't want a bunch of additional switches and lights in the cabin.

I kept mine super simple no holes drilled. Keep in mine I only use the line lock for track use only. To activate system I just put a fuse in, plug the switch in and tape it to the park brake handle. When I'm done I do the reverse and throw it in my helmet bag. Works mint.

That's pretty cool, never thought about using a fuse as an arming switch.

Yep I just used a piggy back plug on an existing fuse. Don't remember what I piggy backed on off the top of my head. Just know it works with no issue. I also pull the fuse and mini relay to disable the ABS system as well. ABS does not like line lock.

Can you enlighten me on what fuses those are?

OK, so I'm still having a rough time installing this line lock I'm trying to plug into a spare one of the side fuse panel. It just burns the fuse. Is this because i do not have an inline 4A fuse ?

The solenoid is grabbing this same 12V form where the switch is getting it by using this splice.

Any thoughts, am I only missing the inline Fuse?

Yes I can. I look tomorrow and post a pic. I also jump my fan relay so I can run fan without ignition turned on for cooling.

Not sure what your issue is other then a short if your popping fuses.? I used the same piece your using at the fuse box. That's only fuse in the system. Have another look at the wiring diagram.
