Front Goodyears cupping

I have a 2015 2SS 1LE. It has the orriginal 285/35/20 on it. Just turned 10,000 Mile on them. Over the last year or so they have got progressively louder. This yearon the lift while cleaning i noticed some cupping on the front tires. What could be the cause? Are they just getting old reaching the end of their life? I would like to hear some other views. The car handels great and runs down the road straight. Let me know thanks Mike

How many miles on the car/suspension? Worn suspension (mainly shocks) could cause the wheels to bounce more than the should, resulting in cupping. Any suspension work done or all original? Know your alignment specs?

Got any pictures? Is the cupping over the entire width of the tire? Or is it more of a feathering on the outer shoulder? What are the alignment specs?

Mine are cupping a bit on the front too but I know the exact reason. No front sway bar.

Shocks most likely, however with only 10,000 miles I'd get an alignment first.

Sorry i dont have any pictures, The cupping is on the outside in the treads the aim towards the outside of the tire, I have never had it to the allignment shop.

No leaks on shocks or worn bushings. Next thing is to get new tires and try to find a decent place to get an allignment. Thanks for the comment Mike

I’ve had people tell me they have cupping and when I look at the tires I would not call it cupping. The outer tread blocks have a feathering pattern which is usually from inadequate negative camber or heavy cornering.

The funny thing is the other side of the tire has just normal wear, all even. I don’t even know how long it’s been that bad. Never a vibration.
