Thoughts after P-1SC-1 Stage 2 w/ factory box install

First off let me admit I was wrong thinking I could reach 600 rwhp without upgrading the fueling (good part is the 1LE comes has the LT4 in tank fuel pump already so everything I need to do is on the topside). So to all that told me to do that you were right.

Now that that's out the way lets get into the goodies. I didn't get my goal but I did dyno to 565 rwhp. Let me tell you that is no slouch either. Right about 3k rpm you can feel that power surge especially around 4k. I'm not complaining one bit because I know with the fueling upgrade I know I can get that 600+ but no need for it. I could even gain about 20-30 hp by changing out the air setup going with the filter that points to the backside of the engine but I like the factory box setup. Maintenance wise its a better setup for me as the plugs are easy to get to.

Now I have to add that my build includes the LT2 intake and kooks long tube headers and high flow cats. So I hope this helps anyone else looking to boost their car with my thoughts. Oh........ the reason I didn't go magnuson or whipple was because of the 6-8 month backlog. I got the procharger in 4 weeks so that was a major part of my decision also but no complaints here.

I was always curious about the front facing setup for a cooler intake charge. They said you'd make more power with the filter to the rear?

You can’t run E with LT1 fueling on a boosted application.

Well, I suppose you could do it… once…

Good #'s
The LT4 components the 1LE already has seem to have helped a good bit
I think I'm maxed out at 550 whp

What rpm and boost pressure are you at to get those numbers? Just curious.

The 1LE only has one LT4 fueling component: the in tank pump. You would still need the LT4 HPFP and LT4 injectors to get the fueling up to speed on a boosted car.

Actually they are right. I was losing probably 20-30 hp with the factory box. When I got the car back I got home and put that rotofab filter to use. Once I get the meth and pulley done going to dyno again should get above my goal of 600 rwhp.
