2023 Camaro
Is it certain that GM is continuing the Camaro as we know it as a non hybrid into the 2023 build cycle? When does the ordering timing switch over from 2022 to the 2023's? I am trying to decide to order now or wait until 2023 in order to build up my GM Card points to $1500.

I believe orders should begin to be taken in April/May.
Frankly, $1500 is a drop in the bucket on these purchases...I imagine you aren't far off as it is?

In another thread I believe April 7 was referenced as the first date that 2023 Camaro orders could be placed with the first round of 2023 allocations to follow later in April. That seems legit, as April 8 was the first day for 2022 orders last year.
A factor to consider is that it seems to be taking the average person about 6-9 months to get their custom order. So if you want a '23, I would place an order as soon as the books open. If you want the car sooner than later, you would probably be best off talking to Joe and getting on his list as early as possible for a '23.

Not sure on the Camaro but I just put in an order for the 2022 Silverado refreshed. Not the Ltd that's selling right now. GM just opened orders for it this month. Got a new loaded Ltz with the 3.0 Diesel.

You certainly could place an order for a '22 Camaro in July, but the order books opened in early April 2021. I changed my order for a '21 to a '22 on April 12, 2021.

For the What's Its Worth department, I spoke directly with Joe P. on this and his understanding (at this time and of course subject to change), is that 2023 production is scheduled to begin June 2nd (or there about). GM ordering should open up for 2023 at the beginning of May. All that said, like many of you, I have a 2022 order pending at 1100. I was trying to calculate the number of production days left for this year run and try to determine if I have any chance of being picked up. IMO, does not look good, so as stated earlier, I am positioning myself for submitting a 2023 model, with the hope to be very early in on the ordering pipeline - which, in theory, should increase my chances of being picked up. We will see....

They aren't selling many because they are selling them as fast as they are producing them...? Which is to say: not very fast.

I have already given up on ordering a 2022. Let's hope there's at least one interesting new color for 2023...like maybe a bright orange, not lame caddy "orange".
My other wish: a premium interior package for LT1. My dream config is a V-8 car with leather seats, premium technology and sound, and all-season tires. Don't need the track-day cooling either. |

My money will be on a green, if anything. If you want leather and technology with all season tires, buy an SS and replace the tires. Your LT1 build is a fantasy.
